Optimization of geotechnical survey and monitoring for design and realization of underground constructions
Černý, Vít ; Pruška, Jan (referee) ; Aldorf,, Josef (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The presented thesis focuses primarily on issues of geotechnical survey and geotechnical monitoring for underground line constructions. It deals with the current practice of geotechnical survey and monitoring. Based on the knowledge gained from specific buildings in the Czech Republic (Královopolské tunnels, tram tunnel Žabovřeská) and based on the author's practical local and foreign experience submits suggestions regarding their mutual optimization in order to improve outputs and reduce financial costs.
Design of the secondary city utility tunnel with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater
Vrána, Tomáš ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the first part, the master’s thesis deals with the history of utility tunnels, methods of construction processes and materials from which they are built. It also mentions methods and materials which protect against the effects of groundwater. The thesis is mainly dedicated to the design and structural design of the secondary utility tunnel lining with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater. The mathematical model was created in Plaxis 2DAE software.

Experimental testing of hydroinsulating injection screens efficiency in dependance on properties of building materials
Červenka, Martin ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The most of the buildings are almost always faced with moisture in our climate. In the past, the humidity was reduced and conducted only by mechanical methods. Over time, chemical wet masonry method also known as chemical infusion curtain was invented and introduced into practice. This method involves the creation of boreholes at a selected height of humid masonry. These boreholes are impregnated with special solutions. These solutions in humid masonry fill pores in the field of boreholes and thanks to this subsequence the monolithic waterproofing curtain is created. The objective of this work is to determine the methodology for verifying effectiveness of various types of waterproofing injection curtains depending on the properties of the various types of building materials.
Industrial utilization of secondary energetic products
Vöröšová, Sabina ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Kulísek, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with utilization of secondary energetic products, which are produced during coal combustion in thermal power stations. It describes also combustion and desulfuration processes technology with their products properties and possibilities of their industry utilization.
The methods of implementation structures of the shallow underground structures

In the first theoretical part, the bachelor thesis deals with the basic overview of the implementation methods of the shallow underground structures. It also mentions the most important elements used in the actual implementation. In the second practical part, the bachelor thesis deals with the case study.
Simulation modelling and optimization in project management
Černý, Vít ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
In recent years, the project management is very popular tool for management of companies and their processes, and this system is utilized in companies of practically any specialisation. In this diploma paper the principles of the project management are applied on a real construction project, which is one of the most common applications. During project preparation, another two disciplines of the operations research are applied on the precarious parts of the project; namely simulation modelling, and optimization via mathematical programming. Simulation modelling allows the analyst to predict behaviour of the modelled real system without the need for any time or costs to be spent on its observation. In this paper the simulation covers the system of vertical transport during execution of the project. Optimization is meant to set such parameters of any model in order for the watched criteria to reach optimal values. In this paper, the optimization is applied on total budget of the project to minimize the total costs.
The multiple knapsack problem
Černý, Vít ; Kalčevová, Jana (advisor) ; Suchánková, Tereza (referee)
The knapsack problem is one of the classical operations research problems. It belongs to the category of integer linear programming problems and is most often formulated as a binary problem. This thesis describes different categories of the problem and also some methods for finding their solution. Although there are precise algorithms for finding reliable optimal solution, some of the knapsack problems are so large that it would be impossible to follow the exact algorithms. Therefore, more complex knapsack problems belong to the complexity class of NP-complete. Yet there are a variety of heuristics and methods developed, which can lead to a sufficiently good solution in a relatively short time and relatively simple way. This paper focuses particularly on one of the problems described, the multiple knapsack problem. It is showed on a practical example how the problem can be solved.
