Gained diseases of horses' hooves
Chrbolková, Tereza ; Doležalová, Jana (advisor) ; Viktor, Viktor (referee)
Our choice of horses is based on specific kriteria. We choose horses for work or sport. We can not expect any results in ether of those sectors, without the ringht care of hooves. Because of little interest in care hoof apparatus, there are occure other health problems, which cause problems in other parts of horse's limbs. Main part of this work includes description of chosen hoof apparatus diseases. There are stated causes of growth, its treatment and prevention. There are many diseases of hoof apparatus, so I chose the ones, which are most frequently seen in practice. Without anatomical knowledge of hood it would be impossible to horseshoeing a horse or treat it, so I think, that it is necessary for horseshoer to have this knowledge for application of shoeing in practice. I look into this topic in individual chapter. I sorted large amount of information about diseases of outter and inner part of hoof. Chapters included one of the most frequently occuring horse hoof diseases. Cause of development isn't clear to this day, so it is one of the most interesting diseases. Further, I mention quality of horn and it is diseases. For example: lair, cleft and rings hoof wall. Wrong diet and excessive work are one of the most frequent factors influencing and possibly causing those diseases. Last, but not least, is unsuitable environment, where are horses kept. That is the reason why the hoof care is very important, and also stable hygiene and dietary plan for every horse idividually, depending on horse's age, work load and other factors.
Hippotherapy impact on patients after spine injuries
Vaisová, Martina ; Doležalová, Jana (advisor) ; Neumann, Cyril (referee)
The aim of this study was to write the most comprehensive and also current literature review on the effect of hippotherapy on to patiens after spine injuries. The first part is devoted to the anatomy of the human spine. Spine creates the axis of the trunk skeleton and consists of 33 vertebrae. All vertebrae have the same shape and size. They differ according to which part of the spine they are located and how much mobility occurs in this particular segment of the spine. The vertebrae are divided in cervical, which are the most mobile, thoracic, lumbar, cross and coccyx, which grow together in the sacrum. Spinal cord is the cylinder of nerve tissue contained in the spinal canal. The nerve tissue is comprised of gray and white matter. 31 pairs of spinal nerves arising from combining the front and rear roots come out of the spinal cord. Spinal cord transmits information from the brain to the body. Subsequently, the study deals with the causes of spinal injuries. We can say that most injuries occurs in traffic accidents or from falls from height. After a spine injury a spinal cord and conducting nerve impulses are not necessarily damaged . However, after spinal cord injury conduction of nerve impulses is breached and spinal lesion arises. If no improvement appears within 24 hours after trauma, patient's condition is unchanging and interrupted conduction is permanent. If there is no break spinal cord, rehabilitation is carried out mainly by strengthening the spinal column. In the case of spinal cord transection we use rehabilition mainly to improve preserved functions. Hippotherapy is a method that can be used after a spine or spinal cord injury. It is a method in which the therapist uses the horse's back as an aid for rehabilitation. The horse's back moves in three directions at step: forward, backward, upward, downward and sideways. These movements are transmitted to the client, for which give rise to facilitation of brain function, and we use it in hippotherapy.
Hippotherapy as part of the comprehensive rehabilitation of clients with cerebral palsy
Pavlíčková, Klára ; Doležalová, Jana (advisor) ; Neumann, Cyril (referee)
This thesis deals with hippotherapy of clients with cerebral palsy, it summarizes the information about suffering from cerebral palsy and the possibility of rehabilitation, focusing primarily on a hippotherapy. Cerebral palsy is a disease in which there is a growing number of patients suffering from this disease and it is expected to continue to rise. In the Czech Republic, there are between 16 000 - 20 000 disabled children who need regular rehabilitation care. CP is formed on the basis of pre-, peri- , postnatal factors , including factors like maternal infectious disease , low birth weight , premature or prolonged labor. CP has several forms, which define the type of the motor impairment and neuropathological estimated location of the lesion. The basic division is spastic and non - spastic forms that continue to divide. Disability in itself does not hide a disability motor character, but is often associated with epilepsy, mental retardation, speech disorders, orthopedic complications and others. During treatment, we must take into account the fact that the same diagnosis does not mean the same treatment method therefore, there is a need for an individual approach to each. The most important component of comprehensive rehabilitation is a medical rehabilitation, particularly methods of physiotherapy. An appropriate additional treatment method is undoubtedly hippotherapy. Hippotherapy uses a three-dimensional movement of the horseback to the transmission of pulses into the patient s body. A riding patient can sit and lie in the direction against the direction of travel. Hippotherapy is suitable for all ages, it is appropriate to initiate therapy in infancy, starting from 2-3 months. Hippotherapy affects gross motor function, reduces spasticity, helps improve walking, and generally strengthens the deep stabilization system. It has great influence on the psychic of the patient area. The patient is motivated and works better, learn to communicate and establish relationships, not only with the horse, but also with a therapist. Currently, interest is increasing in hippotherapy from parents of children and clients. This produces more new centres dealing with hippotherapy.

There is compared quantity of horses in the Vysočina region with other regions and also numbers of horses in Vysočina from 2003 till 2014. The thesis also deals with the organization of official competitions during the same period. It monitors numbers of official competitions including the specific trends of each equestrian discipline. The official competitions organized in Vysočina include the finals of the high popular competition Golden Horseshoe. The next aspect which is monitored is education of riders and horse breeders in the region provided by Czech Agricultural Academy in Humpolec. The last chapter of the thesis is dedicated to the financial support provided by the region of Vysočina for the development of equestrian sport, both for competitions and equestrian clubs. The thesis approves the theory that equestrian sport in Vysočina is developing. Monitored numbers of horses nearly doubled and there is obvious growth each year. Amount of competitions in the Vysočina were changing during the period. Most frequently, there were held around 20 - 30 competitions per year and for the next year there are planned 32 official competitions. Negative tendency can be seen in the numbers of students of the Agricultural Academy in Humpolec. The last chapter focused on financial support coming from Vysočina region and it shows that horsemanship is supported in this territory because it is beneficial for the region. Lot of people are periodically attending competitions, where families spend their leisure time. Horse riding also leads children have relations to agriculture, animals and mainly sport. Czech Agricultural Academy Humpolec educates young generation of people who after graduating are seeking employment mainly in the agricultural sector. By this the academy brings new qualified workers in agriculture to the region. What is more, the successful riders and breeders represent the region in national and international level.

Biologické metody ochrany kukuřice před bázlivcem kukuřičným Diabrotica virgifera
Doležalová, Jana
This work focuses on verifying the efficacy of the protection product Dianem (includes bioagens Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) in maize targeted against corn rootworm larvae which cause characteristic damage to stalks. The tests were initiated in April 2014 in south Moravia in three locations - Otrokovice, Čejč and Hostěradice -- in pursuance of experiments. Dianem was applied during sowing, the same way as chemical protection product Force in the chemical protection variant. The number of beetles hatched from larvae caugh in the textile cage K (untreated control), D (biologic control) and CH (chemical control) were evaluated in the tests. The evaluation took place from mid July to September in Čejč and Hostěradice where there was no statistically significant difference in the number of hatched beetles from soil in individual variants. At the end of July, goosenecks were evaluated in Otrokovice and Čejč. There was no statistically significant difference in Otrokovice between the treated and control variant. On the other hand, there was a statistically highly significant impact of Dianem in Čejč. Another part of the tests was monitoring the corn rootworm using pheromone traps Csalomon PAL.
