Battery-powered welding inverter
Starec, Stanislav ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on proposition and following implementation of DC arc welder. This paper is based on semester’s paper, where the first version was realized. The welder is powered by a battery pack with LiFePO4 type cells. Battery cells are protected by BMS circuits. The driving electronics controls the duty cycle step-down (buck) converter in a closed current or power regulation loop. The power regulator has been designed and validated by simulations. Switching power transistors, low side and high side, are implemented by optically isolated gate drivers. Charging the battery is solved by a switching flyback converter. For the charger and the welder is sheet metal construction made of aluminum sheet.
Low Power High Voltage Step-Down Converter
Folprecht, Martin
This article refers about problematics of DC/DC converters. Basic topologies of DC/DC converters with and without pulse transformer are mentioned in this article. There is also a focus on some IC drivers and controllers used for converters without pulse transformer. The main part of the article is reserved for the description of the step-down converter powered from voltage in excess of 100 V, which is able to work in application, where special IC controller cannot be used.
Electromagnetic power actuators

Use of Rich Interactive Applications (RIA) in Business Intelligence (BI) with a focus on Microsoft Silverlight
Folprecht, Martin ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Růžek, Pavel (referee)
The main objective of this work is to analyze the concepts of Business Intelligence to explore their implementation with MS Silverlight (RIA) to find out advantages and disadvantages of BI solutions using RIA and verified them on a case study of a fictitious bank. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is analyzing BI evolution and current trends. In the practical part the dashboard has been created for a fictitious bank management in MS Silverlight. The contribution of the author of this work lies mainly in the application of theoretical BI concepts in case study of a fictitious bank. There are elements of an MS Silverlight and processing techniques on the client that were used to show usability in BI. In the thesis was used Data Binding and MS Silverlight for predictive analysis in BI.
ECM and criteria for choosing product
Folprecht, Martin ; Stanovská, Iva (advisor) ; Skoupý, Radek (referee)
Abstract The aim of this thesis is to define general criteria for assessing ECM products. In introduction I made teoretical overview of Enterprise Content Management(ECM). I defined ECM components and mentioned content strategy with content silo traps. Than I described ECM Compliance. I introduced results of ECM Gartner Study. I described Sharepoint 2010 and Alfresco. I stated ECM taxonomy of functionalities and general criteria for evaluating ECM products. In the end I described the process of choosing ECM products.
