Implementation of the LoRaWAN Communication Technology Using the Network Simulator 3
Mašek, Petr ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the description of LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technologies for use in IoT (Internet of Things) communication scenarios. The theoretical part compares communication technologies operating in the license-exempt frequency band, i.e. Sigfox and LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network). Furthermore, technologies using the licensed frequency spectrum are discussed, specifically, attention is focused on NB-IoT (Narrow Band IoT). Emphasis is placed on LoRaWAN technology and the properties of the unlicensed frequency band below the 1 GHz, which is utilized by this technology. The practical part of the thesis consists of the evaluation of simulation scenarios using an integrated module in the simulation environment NS-3 (Network Simulator 3). Attention is focused mainly on the analysis of data transmission success using selected communication parameters of LoRaWAN technology. The obtained simulation outputs with a focus on mMTC (massive Machine-Type Communication) communication scenarios confirm the relationship between the number of end devices and gateways, communication distance and transmission reliability, or the limit value for the duty cycle.
Interactive web applications for support of teaching signal processing
Mašek, Petr ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Záviška, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of processing one-dimensional signals. Five interactive web applications have been created in JavaScript to support teaching. These are applets that relate to the following topics: rational number resampling of the discrete signal, mean and root mean square signal values, discrete linear and circular convolution in 1D, and discrete cross correlation. The thesis introduces each topic by a theoretical foreword, followed by description of implementation and user interface of the created applications and further there is a commentary on the development and testing of applets.
Static solution of reinforced concrete structure
Mašek, Petr ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (referee) ; Zlámal, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with study of feasibility of waterpark monolithic reinforced concrete structure with roof terrace. This structure has one underground floor, which has water park utility function and two above ground floors. On the roof is terrace with grass, mobile bar and with space to relax. Subject of this diploma thesis is the main loadbearing frame, which has span 32 m. The structure is assessed according to limit states of valid norms and also takes into account construction stages and time dependent analysis. The structure is calculated on beam and slab-plate structural models. Structural analysis and general drawings are done.

Used research methods are: observation, document analysis and analogy.
Libraries of princes Lichnovsky
Nebeská, Barbora ; Šípek, Richard (advisor) ; Mašek, Petr (referee)
The libraries of Lichnowsky noble family are currently composed of the sections. The first one is the main family line library stored in Hradec nad Moravicí castle and the latter is the one originally from Chuchelná castle. This thesis focuses on 16-18th century prints as parts of the above mentioned libraries. The aim here is the content and provenance analysis of the library fund of Lichnowsky within the suggested periods of time. At the front, the attention is on signature lines and on the question, whether the Chuchelná library contains books that once belonged to private property of Lichnowsky family. In the following chapters, it is explained why the scale of the analysis is limited to the selected centuries. The answer also reflects the general topic of understanding castle libraries. The focus is also on the history of the noble family of Lichnowsky. After localization of the library itself, major parts of the thesis follow, which chapters comprising the content and provenance analysis of the libraries. The provenance chapter has two parts. The first one identifies members of Lichnowsky family behind provenance traces inside the books, whereas the major role is played by Robert Lichnowsky, largely responsible for operating and maintaining the family library. The latter part focuses on...
Past and Present of the Convent Library of Saints Thomas in Prague. Catalogue of Incunabula.
Sladká, Veronika ; Pařez, Jan (referee) ; Mašek, Petr (referee)
Monastery library of Order of Hermits of Saint Augustin in Prague is an outstanding book collection of considerable scientific and historical value. Nowadays, it consists of more than 18 000 volumes. This thesis aims to provide an overview of a history of library and to introduce significant members of Augustinian order, who contributed to development of library. Author is particularly focused on early modern period, to which scholars have not paid attention yet, and events connected to the end of the Thirty Years War, when, as it was assumed in the past, the library sustained big damage. Origins and medieval period of the library is described on indirect sources only, as nothing from the medieval collection stayed preserved. History of the library in early modern period is based on records from the monastery chronicals and other archival sources, study of secondary lierature and results of provenience research of the preserved collection. The core of the thesis consists of history of the monastery library and of information about several members of the order with special significance for development...

How the geopolitical thinking and direction of Japan had developed in the postwar period in the context of a changing geopolitical architecture of the system? What challenges or conflicts did Japan have been through and how it reacts to changes in the present system? How the post-war changes and the end of the Cold War had reflected in the participation and position of Japan in the international economic system under conditions of intensifying globalization? The thesis is divided into several parts. At the beginning, there is a short summary of geopolitical theories and definitions of key concepts. The following chapters are analytical, dealing with the description of the development of Japanese domestic and foreign policy, as well as relationships to key countries, first in the political, economic level subsequently. Final part is followed by a practical grasp of lessons learned and showing them on specific examples. Keywords:...
