Client-Server Application Based on CORBA
Majtán, Martin ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with client-server applications and software technologies used to implement client-server applications in the Java programming language. The goal of bachelor thesis is the parallelization of genetic algorithm for knapsack problem and create two distributed models for technology CORBA and Hessian. In the teoretical part of the thesis are describes the basic concept of network communication, explanation client-server model of network communication, there are discussed technologies Java RMI, CORBA and Hessian. In the thesis is described the parallel and the distributed model of data processing, genetic algorithm and its use to solve the knapsack problem. In the practical part is created parallel and distributed model of a genetic algorithm for knapsack problem using technology CORBA and Hessian. In the thesis is done comparison of parallel model and distributed models in terms of calculation time. Results of measurement time are displayed in tables.
New methods for emotion recognition from text
Onderka, Jakub ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Mašek, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis is about a method for sentimental analysis, especially machine learning methods without teacher. In detail are described method for semantic modeling LSA, pLSA a LDA. It was created a LDA implementation in Java language, which was used to emotional classification of 860 Czech documents to six different emotional categories. Maximal accuracy was 24 % if optimized parameters was used.
Image search using similarity measures
Harvánek, Martin ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
There are these methods implemented: circular sectors, color moments, color coherence vector and Gabor filters, they are based on low-level image features. These methods were evaluated after their optimal parameters were found. The finding of optimal parameters of methods is done by measuring of classification accuracy of learning operators and usage of operator cross validation on images in program RapidMiner. Implemented methods are evaluated on these image categories - ancient, beach, bus, dinousaur, elephant, flower, food, horse, mountain and natives, based on total average precision. The classification accuracy result is increased by 8 % by implemented modification (HSB color space + statistical function median) of original method circular sectors. The combination of methods color moments, circular sectors and Gabor filters with weighted ratio gives the best total average precision at 70,48 % and is the best method among all implemented methods.
Echo state neural network for stock market prediction
Pospíchal, Ondřej ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with an echo state network and with acceleration of its learning by implementing the echo state network on a graphics processor. The theoretical part consists of the description of neural networks and some selected types of neural networks, on which is based the echo state network. After that, there are some other algorithms described used for time series analysis and last but not least, the tools that were used in the practical part of the thesis were briefly described. The practical part describes the creation of the accelerated version of the echo state network. After that, there is described the creation of input data sets of real financial indexes, on which the echo state network and the other algorithmns were then tested. By analyzing this accelerated version it was found that its learning speed did not reach the theoretical expectations. The accelerated version works slower, but with greater precision. By analyzing the results of the measurement of the other algorithmns it was found that the highest precision is achieved by solutions based on the neural network principle.
Automatic configuration of virtual infrastructure
Kadlíček, Jan ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Uher, Václav (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on the issue of automation of virtual infrastructure and available tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Puppet. The individual tools are compared here in sequence for installations or configuration creation. The result of this semester thesis is the selection of a suitable tool for automation of virtual infrastructure.
Xtend GUI regression testing tool
Hamár, Lukáš ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Sikora, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with regression testing of the Campaign Manager web application of the Xtend product. The work interprets the software development methodologies and subsequently it describes the types of testing that are closely related to development. Furthermore, the work focuses on tools used for the graphical user interface testing and their mutual comparison. The next part of the work is dedicated to the creation of the development environment and it analyzes the structure of test cases that were developed in the created environment. The last section describes how the Campaign Manager was tested and how test results were generated and obtained.
Image segmentation using deeplearning methods
Lukačovič, Martin ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Mašek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the current methods of semantic segmentation using deep learning. Other approaches of neaural networks in the area of deep learning are also discussed. It contains historical solutions of neural networks, their development, and basic principle. Convolutional neural networks are nowadays the most preferable networks in solving tasks as detection, classification, and image segmentation. The functionality was verified on a freely available environment based on conditional random fields as recurrent neural networks and compered with the deep convolutional neural networks using conditional random fields as postprocess. The latter mentioned method has become the basis for training of new models on two different datasets. There are various enviroments used to implement neural networks using deep learning, which offer diverse perform possibilities. For demonstration purposes a Python application leveraging the BVLC\,/\,Caffe framework was created. The best achieved accuracy of a trained model for clothing segmentation is 50,74\,\% and 68,52\,\% for segmentation of VOC objects. The application aims to allow interaction with image segmentation based on trained models.
