Stability of humic acids in production of eye drops
Lišková, Kateřina ; Mravec, Filip (referee) ; Bilerová, Helena (advisor)
Glykoaminoglykans are the biological active compounds, which significantly affect the physiological processes in living organisms from under low concentrations. Marked representative of this group is hyaluronic acid. It is linear polysacharid, whose primary structure is consists of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamin linking by glycosidic bonds (13) and (14). It is occurring connective tissues, synovial fluids and vitreous humor too, in which forms system with unique rheological and optical properties. Except of human body is its concentration especially high in the cockscombs. Hyaluronic acid has very high ability to bonding molecules of water, increasing molecular weight a then viscosity of aqueous solutions too. This fact together with characteristic viscoelasticity and lubricating properties plays an important role in preserve of organism. Acid, but its salt too form basic component of compounds using in ophthalmic surgery. It is using in extraction of cataract, operation of glaucoma, implantation of crystalline lens and corneal grafting too. Aim of this bachelor work was a determination of stability of hyaluronic acid solutions along the production of eye drops. Main objective was using by rheological measurement detect the influence of addition polymers (PVP, PACA, PEOX, PEG, PUD, PEI) and different pH on stability, degradation aqueous solution of hyaluronic acid at sterilization in the steam autoclave respectively.

Health related quality of life (HRQoL) in drug addicts and their dependets in relation to the age.
LIŠKOVÁ, Kateřina
In my thesis I address the quality of life of drug addicts in dependence on the duration of their drug use and their age. Drug addicts have a number of social problems and are also exposed to health risks. The objective of my thesis was to determine the quality-of-life score of those persons, and to ascertain whether their quality of life differs in comparison with the general population and also in comparison between the individual groups into which the drug addicts were divided according to the period of the drug use. In order to achieve these objectives, I raised hypotheses H1: Drug addicts have lower quality of life than the general population, H2: The quality of life of drug addicts deteriorates in relation with the length of the addiction, and H3: The quality of life of drug addicts is lower with increased person age. The method used in my work was SF- 36 questionnaire. From the results of my work it follows that, in statistic terms, drug addicts have considerably lower quality of life than the control group in all 8 examined fields (domains). Actually, in three domains the average score achieved by the drug addicts did not reach even a half of the score achieved by the control group. Hypothesis H1 was confirmed. Comparison of individual groups of drug addicts, namely the persons addicted for 11-15 years and the group of users (0-5 years), revealed an interesting value of emotional restriction of roles. From this comparison it follows that the persons who have been drug addicts for rather a long time have not been able to hold their social roles in the society in emotional terms any more, which confirms also hypothesis H2. In the end was hypothesis H3 confirmed. It is also obvious from the results of my work that, while working with drug addicts, the attention needs to be given to their motivation to undertake treatment so that their quality of life ceases to deteriorate and, on the contrary, improves again in their life without drugs.

THE IMPORTANCE OF GUALITY INSPECTION OF THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN MEETING THE GUALITY STANDARDS FOR SOCIAL SERVICES IN SHELTERED HOUSING FACILITIES
LIŠKOVÁ, Kateřina
The thesis deals with the topic of ?The importance of quality inspection of the provision of social services in meeting the Quality Standards for Social Services in sheltered housing facilities?. The inspection is a social policy tool of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs the purpose of which is the inclusion of persons threatened by social exclusion. The main objective of the thesis was to determine the effect of the inspections on the quality of provided social services in sheltered housing facilities. Based on the gathered data the following hypothesis was formulated: The quality of the provided social services in sheltered housing facilities is not directly affected by the inspection. One of the partial objectives of the thesis was to determine the effect of the inspection of the provided social services on lives of residents in sheltered housing facilities and the following hypothesis was formulated for the purpose: The inspections of the provided social services do not have any significant impact on the lives of residents in sheltered housing facilities. The qualitative research related to the main objective used the technique of a semi-structured interview. The method selected for the qualitative research for the partial objective was inquiring by means of a questionnaire. The surveyed group consisted of 15 employees and 67 residents of sheltered housing facilities in Veselí nad Lužnicí, Ústí nad Orlicí and in Brno. Based on the above mentioned facts and the completed research I believe that the objectives of the thesis were met and the hypotheses were tested by means of two qualitative surveys.
Project of house for indigent and problematic seniors.
LIŠKOVÁ, Kateřina
At present, the whole world has one characteristic feature in common, which is an increasing number of people reaching a high age. In this respect, the Czech Republic is no exception. As a result, the percentage of senior citizens is also steadily increasing. Most of these senior citizens will be threatened by a low income, especially those who live alone. At present there is no statistics that would show the numbers of senior citizens in specific age groups concerning the amount of pensions, and there is no statistics that would show the numbers in territorial units at lower levels than regions. It is surprising that, with the present alarming prognoses of the numbers of senior citizens, statistical data concerning pensions are not analysed in detail. Some of them rank in the group of poor and problematic senior citizens, as a result, for instance, of paying a low social insurance of failing to pay any social insurance at all. It will be necessary to create a network of services for low-income senior citizens that will guarantee their primary needs. The objective of this thesis was to carry out a monitoring of the need of services for low-income senior citizens, and a proposal of a possible provider of these services. The methodological process included a content and secondary data analysis of socio-demographic indicators about the population of senior citizens. The collection of primary data was conducted in the form of a semi-controlled interview with providers of social services for senior citizens. The target set consisted of senior citizens in the administrative area of the municipality with extended authority of České Budějovice, and the set subject to study consisted of providers of social services for senior citizens. The results of my diploma thesis have confirmed that a service for low-income senior citizens in České Budějovice is not available. My diploma thesis will constitute a basis for the Council of the City of České Budějovice when dealing with the questions concerning services for low-income senior citizens.
