Comparison of selected European riding schools and riding education system in the Czech Republic

Title of the work: Comparison of selected European riding schools and riding education system in the Czech Republic Work goals: Mention all available riding schools in the Czech Republic, their description and comparison with selected European riding schools Methods: Analysis of literature sources and other available materials, description of individual programs of the mentioned schools, comparison based on the results of the individual schools and the level of their alumni Conclusion: The level of riding education in the Czech Republic is lower than in the compared foreign schools. The selected European schools have much longer tradition and also more elaborate education system. The Czech Republic faces lack of qualified trainers, as well as lack of funds. The success of the riding schools alumni is much higher at the foreign schools than in the Czech Republic, which is caused both by the level of the alumni and more work opportunities abroad.

Title: Health education in elementary school Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to create an educational manual for health education and its verification. Methods: In our thesis we used quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis and the method of comparison. We used a questionnaire as the quantitative method and for the qualitative method we interviewed selected students. We apllied the method of comparison in the evaluation of student's knowledge in pre and post questionnaires and in comparing the knowledge of 9th and 7th graders. Results: We discovered that 7th graders improved their knowledge and the greatest improvement was reached in the topics of self-conception and physical self- conception. Also we found that the knowledge of 7th graders are better than the knowledge of 9th graders. Keywords: body care, nutrition, self-conception and physical self-conception, physical activity.

Title: Healthy lifestyle in curriculum of preschool-age Goal: The aim of this thesis was to determinate an extent of attention to healthy lifestyle in curriculum of preschool-age children. Futhermore the thesis monitored an attitude of selected kindergarten towards issues of healthy lifestyle of children. Research: A quantitative (non-standardized questionnaire) and a qualitative (interview) method as the research method was used. Results: In conclusion, selected kindergarten pay sufficient attention to various parts of healthy lifestyle of preschool-age children. We discovered differences by Montessori kindergarten among the others. Title: The School Educational Programme " Education for Healthy lifestyle " for SOŠ a SOU of technical branches in Česká Třebová. Objectives: Diploma project brings new information about Czech schools and the new school reform. It is connected with the School Educational Programmes and with introducing a new way of education for a healthy way of life. The goal of the project was to make the School Educational Programme for " Education for Healthy lifestyle" in optimal conditions as well as to find out results and recommendations in particular examples during practical education in one particular school. Another goal was to analyse the relation between students and Practical Exercise, how they like exercise and what they think about sport activities during lessons. The last part was a questionnaire for students. Methods: In the research there was used a questionnaire, in which there were fourteen questions divided among three topics. Title of thesis: Contribution of consulting service to a change of lifestyle Summary: The question of healthy life style has been recently in the centre of frequently discussed topics. The population's lifestyle has changed noticeably in comparison with the past and high-quality nutrition and regular motion activity is frequently neglected. People suffer from stress, lack of sleep and all these factors bring an increased level of heath risk. Among others, the society reacts to this fact by founding an amount of consulting clinics which try to help people to change and achieve a healthier and better quality life style. This thesis is concerned with an effect of a programme individually formed by a consultant on a change of life style and consequently on a change of female physical constitution at the age of 18 - 65. The research is supposed to reveal whether the program itself, regular controls and feed - backs will bring positive changes of life style and if there consequently follows a reduction of body weight as well as improvement of other physical parameters. Title: Self-concept, nutrition and movement habits between university students in Czech Republic and Greece Objectives: The aim of this work is comparation between university students of sport faculties in the Czech Republic and Greece in the way of their self-concept, nutrition and movement habits. Methods: In our thesis we used the method of questioning. There were questioned one hundred of Czech students studying FTVS UK in Prague and the same figure of Greek students studying The Demokritos University in Komotini. Rate between genders was in both cases 1:1. Results: We found out that both monitored groups showed mistakes in composition of nutrition. Quantity of sport is in both cases similar. Thesis name: Strenght abilities stimulation for children in the age of6 - 15 years Thesis aims: To describe theoretical basis of stimulation of children strenght skills. To design the conception for children strenght training and to find suitable methods, means and fonns ofstimulation ofchildren strenght skills. Method: Qualitative analysis of documents' content was used for identification of main theoretical basis of stimulation of children strenght skills. Determiners of children strenght development were described on the basis of deeper analysis. Main theoretical resomces were finally joined into logical complex by the method of synthesis. On this basis the conception of strenght abilities stimulation could be made and suitable methods, means and fonns of children strenght training could be chosen. Need for Achievement and Physical Performance in Youth 12 - 14 Year Old Student: Bc. Pavlína Vlčková Supervisor: Prof. PhDr. Antonín Rychtecký, DrSc. Objectives: The main objective ofdiploma thesis was to find out the actual physical performances in 12 - 14 year old students both gender at the Elementary school of Komensky in Jílové u Prahy by use the selected method of the UNIFITTEST 6-60 and compare them with the results of former studies (Chytráčková, 2002; Rychtecký, 2006). The other objective was to diagnose the need for achievement in these students and compare them with the results of study carried out twenty years ago in Czechoslovakian young people (Kostka et al., 1987). Methods: The purpose, objectives and hypothesis of thesis were targeted in conformity with the available literature. The standardized UNIFITTEST was used. The level of physical performance of the selected sample of students was examined by the use of selected tests of the bartery of the UNIFITTEST. The test results were compared with the results of former surveys carried out in 90'of 20 century (Chytráčková, 2002) and in the year 2006 (Rychtecký, 2006). Professional orientation of students in the last term at the Faculty of physical education and sport, Charles University in Prague

Název magisterské práce: Profesní orientace studentů závěrečných ročníků UK FTVS. Professional orientation of students in the last term at the Faculty of physical education and sport, Charles university. Cíle práce: Cílem práce bylo prostřednictvím dotazování získat objektivní aktuální názory studentů posledních ročníků UK FTVS na záležitosti spojené s pracovní aktivitou po skončení studia. Studenti byli osloveni v době, kdy jim do skončení studia zbývalo půl roku. Metoda práce: Pomocí dotazníků jsme zjistili současné tendence profesní orientace studentů posledních ročníků UK FTVS. Výsledky práce: Práce zjistila názory studentů posledních ročníků UK FTVS na záležitosti spojené s pracovní aktivitou po skončení studia. Většina studentů podle očekávání preferuje práci trenéra (54%) a učitele na střední škole (59%), ale doposud ještě váhají a nemají jisté zaměstnání (42%). Stále větší část studentů se chystá dále studovat a cestovat (shodně 17%). Studenti řadí mezi hlavní zásady výběru zaměstnání osobní uspokojení z práce (95%) a fmanční atraktivitu (96%). Studenti zpravidla hodnotí vzdělání získané na UK FTVS za převážně dostačující (40%) nebo dostačující (42%), vyžadující pouze drobné úpravy (69%).
