Ecological state of the river Svatava
Laslop, Antonín ; Pecharová, Emilie (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
This work ecological state of the river Svatavy maps the condition of the watercourse, which rises in the Ore Mountains, south of the German Schöneck at an altitude of 710 m. N. M. The mapping was carried out in the stretch of the river from the village to near the town of Sokolov, in three sections. The first section forms part of the water flow away from the border, where the river forms the border Svatava, to the footbridge over the river, in front of the saw in the lead. The second section forms part of the watercourse from Oloví inflow in Luh nad Svatavou. The third section then from this tributary in Luh nad township Svatava to the very confluence of Ohře and Svatava Sokolov. Detailed measurements were performed on sixteen supply points Professional Plus instrument. Data collected in individual measurements, to individual extraction points, focused on the evaluation of the physico-chemical parameters of water flow. Based on these parameters was evaluated the current status of anthropogenic pollution watercourse Svatavy.

These days a pursuite of expedient an interconnection between news and existing buildings with green areas is increased especially in the cities. People change living habits and their requests about environment increase. In urban area is necessary create more natural green spaces for its using by habitants. Those are main reasons for creation of new green spaces. For improve some life conditions their equipement and layout should be on high quality perforce. The aim of this thesis is to deal the evaluation of areas in terms of various parameters. It is splited into three parts. Each of part is analysed one of the select park. In conclusion a comparison is performed. A result evaluates a newly revitalized green areas in Prague 6 and their user-friendliness and maintenance demands.
Phosphorus fertilizing of winter wheat in long-term field experiments including the sewage sludge treatment
Burgetová, Markéta ; Kulhánek, Martin (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
The theoretical part of the work is to describe the importance of phosphorus in soils and plants, and individual fertilizing systems, which is phosphorus in the soil supplied. Currently phosphorus considered limiting element in plant nutrition and it is therefore necessary to monitor the content and add it into the soil as required. Phosphorus is applied to the soil in different sorts of fertilizers. It is possible to use organic and mineral fertilizers and waste materials, for example sludge from sewage treatment plants. Sewage sludge appears to be a rich source of organic substances and other nutrients including phosphorus. Thanks to the application of sewage sludge on agricultural land, when used properly, reflects in the improvement of soil properties. The aim of this work is to compare different fertilizing treatments (sewage sludge, manure and mineral fertilizers) in terms of water-soluble, accessible and residual phosphorus in the soil and also in terms of the influence of the mentioned treatments on winter wheat yields. The experiment was conducted at Humpolec, Hněvčeves and Suchdol sites and the evaluation was realized between the years 1996 and 2015. The contents of readily available phosphorus at all sites were fairly balanced and did not clearly indicate the best fertilization option. The highest values were, however, in most cases measured at the sewage sludge treatment. Sewage sludge appeared to be good source of mobile phosphorus. The values were almost always higher in comparison to the other studied treatments. It was confirmed at all three sites. The increasing tendency in mobile soil P content was clearly visible during the experiments. Estimating of residual phosphorus was carried out in comparison with other factions only in the years 1996, 2005 and 2014. The highest levels of residual P after application of sewage sludge were achieved at Humpolec and Suchdol sites. At the station Hněvčeves, the highest content was estimated on the variant fertilized with mineral fertilizers. Even though the sludge proved to be the best phosphorus resource in our experiments, the highest winter wheat yields were reached using mineral fertilizers. A variant fertilized with sludge appeared to be second best way, and thereafter followed farmyard manure treatment.

The current condition of the lands in question has been assessed and the project has been produced based on fieldwork. The thesis brings introduction of bike touring in the Czech Republic as well as in some European countries and the principles and procedures in projecting cycling route networks. It provides an insight into the history and present of the sites along the cycling route. The output of this thesis is a price calculation for development of the missing parts, map documents where both the existing route networks and projected sections are marked, a price calculation for the cycling route facilities and a list of owners of the lands in question. The cycling route project aims to attract bike tourists into the area of interest, thereby making the micro-region more attractive.
Structure and development of natural and combined regeneration in spruce stands affected by bark beetle disturbances in the Šumava Mts.
Dorko, Jakub ; Vacek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with structure, progress and dynamics of mountain spruce forests in areas afflicted by large bark beetle gradation in area of National Park Bohemian Forest, specifically in the municipality of Modrava. The research was carried out on 9 permanent research plots and it was based on evaluation of structure of the forest reconstruction, height measurement and increments of each individuial tree of natural reconstruction. The measurement was made in autumn 2015. 3 plots of those 9 permanent research plots were situated in forest clearing and the rest in dead forest. Combination of natural and artifical restoration of forest was applied in these plots. Differences were found out in quantity and structre of reconstruction in connection with various stand types. It was discovered that in west oriented locations (PRP 1 to 6), the reconstruction prospers and grows quicker, compared with north orientation (PRP 7 to 9). The highest dimensions were reached by the reconstruction in the plots founded in the forest clearing, on the contrary the highest density of the reconstructon was discovered in the plots with dead forest. The highest value of average increment was discovered in PRP 4, which means in forest clearing where logging had been done.
The development of the health condition of spruce stands with yellowing symptoms and their possible chemical amelioration in the Šumava Mts.
Morong, Jindřich ; Vacek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
The main aim of this work was to learn about the health condition (foliage and yellowing) the structure and the growth of the spruce forest stands on two research areas at Stožec in the Šumava Mts., one of which area is fertilized by the product SILVAMIX MG and the second area is checking. Yellowing and defoliation of spruce forests in Šumava due to a lack of magnesium were repeatedly noticed in the eighties of the twentieth century. There was an experiment focused on the research reaction of spruce forest application of magnesium fertilizer (SILVAMIX MG NPK) in 1998. Fertilizer was applied manually in the spring of 2000 in the spruce-beech and spruce forest vegetative stage at a dose of 96,5 kg Mg/ha. On the fertilized areas was a significant improvement in the health condition of forest and also a reduction of yellowing. In 2005, yellowing symptoms of Norway spruce (Picea abys) almost disappeared. There is an every year yellowing and defoliation stands on the unfertilized control areas except the year 2006. There was a slight improvement in the health condition of stands in this year. We can say that the application of appropriate fertilizer leads to a significant improvement in the health condition of stands and it helps to their overall stability.
