Effect of optical elements on transmitted laser beam
Poliak, Juraj ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
Diplomová práca pojednáva o skalárnej teórii difrakcie a zavádza dôležité riešenie vlnovej rovnice a to elipticky symetrický Gaussov zväzok. V praktickej časti bude popísané modelovanie difrakcie na kruhovom otvore dvoma rôznymi prístupmi. Model bude experimentálne overený experimentom. V záverečnej časti bude kriticky pojednané o výsledkoch experimentu a simulácie.
Model of atmospheric transmission media for free space optics
Přikryl, Petr ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to study the methods of a free space optical link design and its application in the communication technologies. The thesis describes possible intrusive influences on the transmitted optical signal, which are the signal noise, atmospheric attenuation and atmospheric turbulences. The thesis is particulary focused on the influence of the atmospheric turbulences and atmospheric attenuation on the optical beam.
Power losses in optical part of the link working in free space
Measurement of the rain rate instantaneous value using acoustic method
Kresta, Daniel ; Poliak, Juraj (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of the rainfall rate measurement using an acoustic method. It is divided into four parts. In the first part of the thesis a necessary theoretical knowledge is analysed. The second part contains a design of a workplace used for the measurement. The third part presents and analyses important experimental recordings acquired in the workplace. Then all measured values are processed and applied in the measuring program. The last part summarizes results of the thesis, advantages and disadvantages of using the acoustic rainfall rate meter.
Position sensing detector
Ha, Tuan ; Wilfert, Otakar (referee) ; Barcík, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of a laser position detector. Different types of sensor are mentioned and compared at the beginning. Special attention is paid to quadrant sensor. Its pros and cons are discussed with designing methods. The sensor is simulated in Matlab to test its output response. Then the laboratory tests follow to meassure real response of the chip. Then follows the design of the detector based on measured and simulated data. In the conclusion of this thesis parameters of created device are evaluated.
Workplace for testing of the photodiodes
Šedo, Ondrej ; Poliak, Juraj (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This paper is focused on design of the workplace for measuring basic parameters and characteristics of standard photodiodes. There is also experimental test of its possibilities and comparison of the measurement results with the catalogue data. It also includes elaboration of an algorithm that processes the measurement data into visual presentation.
Study of surfaces reflectivity
Kumpán, Vítězslav ; Wilfert, Otakar (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
Bachelor thesis analyzes the basic properties of light and its distribution in space. It deals with concepts such as reflective surfaces and the relative reflectance. It also clarifies the effect of light of different wavelengths on the man. In view of this activity includes the measurement of the reflectance of real surfaces with which we commonly encounter. The values ??given in the form of technical documentation in annex. It also includes a comparison of various materials with respect to the use in indoor cordless optical communications.
Long Range Free Space Optical Links
Křivák, Petr ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Vašinek, Vladimír (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with a long range free space optical links for communication over the distance of few tens of kilometers in the atmosphere. The problematic of the beam propagation and atmospheric effects influencing the beam and the quality of the communication protocol are discussed. The measuring link is also designed to study the parameters of the communication link work conditions. The measuring link consists of two heads. The transmitter head is designed to use two optical beams with laser diodes at the wavelength of the atmospheric windows 850 or 1550 nm and the overall power of hundredths of mW. The receiver head includes the Fressnel lens. For the detection of very weak signal, the avalanche photodiode is used. In the end of this work, due to the high power of the transmitting optical beam, the laser safety conditions are also discussed, including the deduced optical transmitters construction recommendations.
Laser coupling system
Dell, Roman ; Wilfert, Otakar (referee) ; Barcík, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the usage of a tunable pulsed laser for coupling to a single-mode fiber. At first, the thesis explains the principle of laser functioning, its basic technical components, properties of laser radiation and main types of tunable pulsed lasers. Next, it describes main types of optical fibres, their key properties and the methods for laser to fibre coupling. Finally, the thesis explains the basic concepts of matrix optics, its application to the Gaussian beam transformation and the calculation of coupling efficiency.
New Method of the Optical Record and Reproduction of the 16mm Film Sound-Track
Vacula, Richard ; Neubauer, Petr (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
The work deals with the recording and reproduction of sound tracks on 16mm film and with old forgotten film optic sound technologies, as well as plans experiments and research, which examines possible methods for reading and writing tracks using modern optoelectronic devices. The final output is intended to drive the writing negative audio (analog and digital) on the photosensitive material and design of the device for synchronous playback of digital audio tracks from an external memory card. The work is done in collaboration with film laboratories Barrandov Studio a.s. and Meopta-Optika, spol. s r.o.
