Slámová, Alžběta ; Kudlová, Eva (advisor) ; Bartošová, Jitka (referee)
The issue of the nutrition of the population in the Czech Republic is a difficult one and it gets even more complicated if we are not concerning the population in general but only one part of it with specific needs, such as pregnant women. Several researches have shown that nutrition of pregnant women and fetal health may be closely connected and that the fetus could be affected by its mother's eating habits during pregnancy until the adult age. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one, the longest, introduces theoretical findings in the field that are sometimes applicable as general principals of rational nutrition. This part of the thesis is used as a starting point for the other one, the empiric part. The empiric part contains the results of my own quantitative research based on the questionnaires inquiring about eating habits of pregnant women. One hundred fully filled-in questionnaires, containing questions about eating habits, drinking regime, nutritional supplements, nutrition knowledge of pregnant women and their sources of information, were collected. The aim of the research was to reveal typical pregnant women diet, the extent of adherence to general principles of pregnant women nutrition, an average amount of nutraceuticals taken daily and usual sources of information...

"... The above-mentioned issues for me personally created the idea of a world in which the human race ceases to exist in the form of civilization known to us, and it is transformed back to its original collective consciousness, something that is "above" -above real physical presence, beyond basic animal processes , well above the world he created for himself, and through that killed himself. Through advanced technology and ultramodern materials, as well as minerals and vitamins, which arose from the original ancient building units, transforming the world into a new form of being. Remains of human existence in the form of countless objects and materials, which finally adapted to other forms of life (not already poisoned and weakened, but instead upgraded units) have gradually become the basic building block posthuman planetary culture. Archaeological site with an area of 510.1 million square kilometers slowly melt away in their embedded meanings and emotions seeped into polyvinyl chloride, which eventually engulfed simple cell clusters..."

Slámová, Adéla ; Barák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Štekláč, Jiří (referee)
The thesis compares the degree of income inequality in the Czech Republic and Hungary. It focuses on the historical development of both countries especially during transition, the degree of their European integration and provides some economic theories, which deals with the distribution of income in society. Part of this thesis is the analysis of the factors that contribute to the final size of the extent of income inequality and a comparasion of the size of the Gini coefficient for each year in the period 2009 and 2013. The main contribution of this analysis is that in the Czech Republic, the biggest problem is the lack of university students with the main filed in technology and expectable crisis of the pension systém, while in Hungary, the main reason for the ever growing income inequality is mainly low-educated population and high social benefits for parents, which discourages them from re-entering the labor market.
