Open-Source Software Tools for Network Diagnostics
Loffay, Pavol ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to make a research of existing open source tools, which are concerned with the diagnosis of the network transmission in the form of measuring of throughput and other basic parameters. The work is devoted to the construction of methodics for testing and comparing devices between themselves. The result of the work is recommendation to an ordinary customer the right application for measuring of given network transmission parameter.
Testing Performance Parameters of SIP VoIP Using Spirent Test Center
Slivka, Miroslav ; Polčák, Libor (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with benchmarking of SIP VoIP networks by Spirent TestCenter device and its software application Avalanche. Results of this work show the way of using Spirent TestCenter Avalanche for SIP VoIP testing. Solution of this work involves creation of testing methodology, containing test scenarios depending on license limitations of Spirent TestCenter along with a presentation of outputs of the tests. Besides creating of tests for Spirent TestCenter there will also be presented another technologies for testing VoIP networks.
User and Device Metadata Collection from the Darkweb
Gula, Ján ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis solves the problem of anonymization on the Internet, that is widely used for dealing with illegal substances. This problem drives law enforcement agencies to be interested in web pages that represent markets with forbidden content which are hidden behind anonymity networks. My goal is to focus on the biggest markets with such content and to gather as much information as possible about subjects that posture on similar types of web pages either as sellers or as buyers. I have resolved the given problem by choosing the most impactful markets according to the number of users signed in. I have become one of the users and applied algorithms for data scraping to get information from web pages into a structured form that is more suitable for a deeper analysis. The results of this thesis will help law enforcement agencies with the analysis of metadata of users that commit illegal activities as they will not have to manually search through the illegal markets, and they will have all available data summed up in a structured form in a database. Unifying data into a structured form will help speeding up the investigation and address the biggest drug sellers.
Library and Tools for Server-Side DNSSEC Implementation
Evaluating the effectiveness of complex protection measures in cadastral area Jerlochovice in Husí potok Watershed
Matoušek, Petr ; Sobotková, Veronika (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
A subject of this Thesis is the design of the complex system of measures of soil conservation in given catchment area, which will serve as a concept of complex land consolidation in cadaster Jerlochovice. Based on the analysis and the land survey, a feasible solution was designed using the hydrological and erosive tools of ArcGIS. For the identification of areas endangered by erosion and for the identification of runoff conditions, the Universal Soil Loss Equation of Wischmeier-Smith was used (in grid modification). Based on the calculated values, the suitable technical and agrotechnical measures of soil erosion control were designed. Each component was designed for the values of Qn from the model DesQ. Subsequently the efectivity of the designed measures was evaluated by the comparison of results of erosive and runoff conditions before and after the aplication of the soil and water conservation measures.
Web Tool for Evaluation of Multifunction Printers Using Print & Scan Method
Lipjanec, Silvester ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Čejka, Rudolf (advisor)
Semestral thesis deals with the way of color management on software and hardware level of office printers. Thesis describes design and implemetation of web tool, which uses Print & Scan method for automatic evaluation printing quality of multifunction printers without any auxiliary tools. Thesis also describes creation of printing pattern needed to evaluate the printing quality, using Print & Scan method. Finally thesis describes the way of analyzing scanned pattern.
Compiler of State Diagram Language to CHILL Language
Goldmannová, Zuzana ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the grammar of an existing proprietary state diagram language, which is used to simulate state diagrams employed in telephone exchanges. The goal of this work is to analyze the grammar and existing compiler of this language to CHILL language and also to design and implement a new compiler. This new compiler will be easier to manage and will eliminate errors and imperfections of the current arrangement. Finally this compiler is tested using existing files, that were formerly created for the current compiler, and also using files I created for testing purposes.
Monitoring of User Activities on Workstations
Skopal, Aleš ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with proposal of a system for monitoring of user activities on workstations Windows XP over .NET 2.0 platform. The system should monitor running programs, processes and find out user activities in these programs like movement of the mouse or writing on the keyboard. A part of whole project is a suggestion of the system which contains specifications of requirements for this system, creation of the architecture, creation of important models, suggestion of the communication between separated part of system and final compile of results. The project should get information about user's activities and also information about usage of software installed on these workstations. The final system will be tested by use case study. Last but not least, project deals with ethic questions in the context of monitoring of users and discuss law questions about this project.
Framework for DNS Server Testing
Novák, Martin ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the modifications of the framework designed for DNS servers testing. Framework is developed by NIC.CZ association and is used primarily for testing the DNS server Knot DNS. The aim of this work are modifications of the framework that will allow simpler testing with this framework, such as: support for multiple implementations of DNS servers, parallel testing, components dummy server and box-in-the-middle, division into multiple components and overall modification of the existing framework. Introduction of thesis is dedicated to the authoritative DNS servers and to the foundations of testing. The remaining part of the thesis deals with the state of the existing framework and the state and testing of modified framework.
Forecasting model of water flows in the affected measured profile
Krepčík, Jiří ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Kozel, Tomáš (advisor)
Stochastic prediction models were compiled for the needs of stochastic control of the storage function of the tank. These models better capture random processes, among which we can include the flow in the specific profile. The work describes the compilation and evaluation of the flow prediction model, which falls into the category of stochastic models. It is a modified zonal model, which is applied to the affected specific profile. The model was calibrated and validated on a test measurement profile. The specific profile contains 85 years of historical measurements. A large amount of data was obtained from the model. The obtained data are evaluated by a programmed program and the conclusion of the work is the evaluation of the success and quality of the model.
