Spiritual backround of Dvořák's cantata Stabat Mater

The aim of this work is to find the spiritual backround of Antonín Dvořák's (1841−1904) cantata Stabat Mater. The work is divided into three main parts: a short summary of Antonín Dvořák's life before the composition of the cantata and the events which preceeded; the phenomenon Stabat Mater and the comparison of the origin and the conception of cantata with the chosen authors of the world's music and Dvořák's conception of the work, his emphasis and evaluation. The matter of the analysis is the process of merging of Dvořák's spiritual and musical life, the choice of Stabat Mater and his work's influence on his personal spiritual life. Another aspect of the work is searching for the criterion if the creation of musical work can be seen as spiritual or if it can't; the necessity of connection and life with the God's person, the Holy Ghost, unification with him and gradually growing into something which the artist can create in connection with the Holy Ghost and what through the Holy Ghost creates the spiritual work. Cinematic Storytelling in Comics

The aim of this work is to point out the similarity of film and comics and thus also the possibility to read some film studies (or analyse films) with an overlap into the medium of comics. The selected method consists of analysing cinematic storytelling techniques and means of expression and their further use in the comics medium. To reach that aim this work uses an image appendix which in main part consists of the first chapter of the Watchmen by Alan Moore.

Double Journey Of The Queen

This study focuses on structural analysis of narrative of the double journey film The Queen according to three types of structuring - classical three act structure, sequence approach and the hero's journey. Each of those methods is examining the story with regard to the fact that the film has two protagonists. It is also taking into consideration the possibility of adjusting these model structures to fit this particular story. The study concludes that each of those methods can be beneficial if used in service of the chosen theme.

An analysis of the television miniseries Top of the Lake, eccentric six-part drama about child abuse in a remote New Zealand community. A beautifully shot mystery, wrapped in an unpleasant thriller that's also a tale of morality. I am going to examine the phenomenon surrounding the miniseries by director Jane Campion and the mystery drama genre.

Being scriptwriter

The goal of my Master thesis is to sketch requirements and possibilities in scriptwriters profession and to find out, what options student have in order to work as a scriptwriter professionally. What can Department of Screenwriting and Script-editing offer to the students in order to prepare them to be successful in this field.
My work is based on interviews with active professional screenwriters, questionnaires of students and last but not least, my own experience from being student and becoming professional.
