The dynamic of recent slope movements in the area of Jezeří in Krušné hory Mts.
Burda, Jan ; Vilímek, Vít (advisor) ; Klimeš, Jan (referee)
Diplomová práce: Hodnocení dynamiky recentních svahových pohybů v lokalitě Jezeří A B S T R A C T The object of this study is geomrphological research in natural hazardous area around Jezeří castle in Krušné hory Mts. This paper studies dynamics of mass movement in geologically and geomorphologically problematic area, where mining glaciate high up into the southeast-facing slope of the Krušné hory Mts. This paper presents results of dendrogeomorfological research. Trees reflect geomorphic processes in variety ways. Mass movemets often causes inclination of the tree trunk, this curvature is caused by the presure of reaction wood. We report results of 89 cores from 35 severely tilted trees (Fagus sylvatica). For reasons of sample depth, the analysis was limited to the period 1900-2006. In this period was accounted growth disturbances - excentricity of annual rings and sudden growth changes. This study presents results of correlation between growth disturbances and precipitations. The mass movemnts dynamic (creeping of quaternary sediments) is affected by precipitations. Significantly low mass movements "rates" can be observed during the 1940s and 1990s. In contrast, high mass movements "rates" were identified during the 1900s and the end of 1950s and during the 1970s. 4
Potential hazardousness of selected moraine-dammed lakes in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru
Emmer, Adam ; Vilímek, Vít (advisor) ; Klimeš, Jan (referee)
Adam Emmer: Potential hazardousness of selected moraine-dammed lakes in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru ABSTRACT: This work is devided into the two parts. Firs part reviews contemporary methods of assessment of potential hazardousness for moraine-dammed lakes (eight qualitative methods and three quantitative methods). Second part has two main aims: 1) Assessment of potential hazardousness of seven selected moraine-dammed lakes in the Cordillera Blanca, and 2) Analysis of suitability of these methods for use in this region. Required input data for potential hazardousness assessment were gained from analysis of remotely sensed photographs, research papers of INRENA/ANA institute (Huaráz), and from fieldwork realized in 2012. Ten methods of potential hazardousness assessment were applied on seven studied moraine-dammed lakes. There are no significant differences in results obtained in each method. These results showed, that potentially most hazardous lake is that of Arhueycocha, followed by Palcacocha. On the other hand potentially less hazardous lake is that of Rajucolta. Based on analysis of regional specific of causes and mechanisms of glacial lake outburst floods from moraine-dammed lakes in Cordillera Blanca, five groups of characteristics which reflect these regional specifics were merged: A) possibility of...
Cyber Attacks in JMeter
Klimeš, Jan ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the security of computer networks based on TCP/IP protocol stack. The main aim is to create extension modules for application JMeter that add features to the software generate DoS attacks, SYN flood, UDP flood, DNS Server attack and DNS Amplification using applications Trafgen. The theoretical part generally describes cyber attacks, associated with network protocols and application JMeter itself. The practical part contains a description of the graphical interface of the expansion modules, each class which the modules consist of and test results.
Using thermochromic systems for testing heat distribution
Klimeš, Jan ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with principles of thermochromism and its possible applications in heat distribution testing. Theoretical part describes mechanisms which allow the thermochromic properties of the substances. Particular attention is paid to cholesteric liquid crystals. Ability to measure the heat for this type of liquid crystals was varified. Also long service life in high humidity environment, enviroment with intense UV radiation, cyclic changes in temperature or immersion in water was tested. A possibility of their practical use in diagnosis was verified as well. Specifically mapping of heat distribution on an assembled PCB. Conclusion contains comparison and evaluation of this method in terms of accuracy, user comfort and economic advantages compared to conventional infrared sensors.
The analysis of moraine-dammed lake destructions
Emmer, Adam ; Vilímek, Vít (advisor) ; Klimeš, Jan (referee)
Analysis of moraine-dammed lake destructions ABSTRACT: Floods from moraine-dammed lakes represent significant threat for inhabitants of high-mountain areas all over the world. There are eight main causes of lake destructions and about twenty consequent failure mechanisms. Based on research of scientific literature, this thesis aims at creating an analysis of the above mentioned causes. Contemporary methods of potentionally dangerous lakes recognizing, approaches to hazard assessment and flash flood prevention and mitigation meassures are mentioned as well. In the analytical part, differences / similarities of the particular causes are studied as well as the chronological aspect of these events in the Northamerican Cordillera, Central Asia and Cordillera Blanca. Keywords: moraine-dammed lakes; GLOF; high mountain areas
Reorganization under the Insolvency Act and the recent practice
Klimeš, Jan ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Zoulík, František (referee)
Reorganization under Insolvency Act and Current Practice Abstract: Key objective of an effective insolvency law is to facilitate the rescue of a debtor or, failing that, a financially troubled business. The new Insolvency Act, no. 182/2006 Col. ("InsA"), established reorganization as new proceedings to comply with such objective. This master thesis focuses on reorganization under the new InsA, its process and key provisions and matters relevant to reorganization proceedings and then analyses current practice with such new proceedings. The purpose and key objectives of the insolvency law are discussed in Chapter 2 and parties and participants to the reorganization and their interest and incentives which must be addressed in an effective reorganization law are described in Chapter 3. Commencement of unitary insolvency proceedings under the InsA, its effects and the following procedure and matters, declaration of bankruptcy and the process of the choice between reorganization and bankruptcy (konkurs) is described in Chapter 4. The rescue culture and other rehabilitation (non-liquidating) procedures, the option of rehabilitation of financially troubled business in bankruptcy (konkurs) under InsA and the brief description of reorganization procedure under US Chapter 11 is discussed in Chapter 5. Chapters 6 and 7...
Draft sources 1000A AC current sensors for calibration
Klimeš, Jan ; Vetiška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dohnal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and construction of device for precise measurement of 1000 A alternate current. This thesis theoretically discusses the possibilities of conventional solutions, such as current transformers, as well as modern methods in the form of current sensors. The output of this thesis is a solution of problems with accuracy and discussion of other possible ways to reduce systematic error. The thesis discusses structure of the current transformer, the digitalizing of the signal and its usage as an input for engineering units. The device is then tested for final accuracy.
Valuation of damage caused by a lightning strike to a house in the village of Šebetov
Šumberová, Petra ; Klimeš, Jan (referee) ; Šmahel, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the amount of indemnity for damage caused by a lightning strike to a house in the village Šebetov. The thesis is dividend into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts, associated with the topic. Furthermore, the approach of valuation of assets and insurance. The practical part uses theoretical knowledge addresses a specific case. First, the location is described, house and insured event (natural event – flash). Following the calculation of the time value immediately before the insured event, further costs are quantified to repair the damage incurred and then is detected current value after repairs. At the end, there is comparison of the time price comparisons of costs incurred for repairs and evaluation of the agreed sum insured in the insurance contract.
