The analysis of the final scores of hunting tests for retriever breeds
Rezková, Simona ; Vostrý, Luboš (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
This thesis is concerned with six Retriever dog breeds whereas emphasis is put on their hunting origin. In the first part, it provides a comprehensive overview of the history of Retriever breeds genesis, beginnings of their breeding and a brief description of the actual breeding conditions in our country. In the second part of the thesis, the basics of the inheritability of working abilities not only with hunting dog breeds are explained and a comparison of various working ability heritability tests, including their results, is provided. The main part of the thesis deals with the actual analysis of the results of club hunting tests targeted at the disciplines typical for the given test type. Within my research I focused on an analysis of hunting tests of Retrievers while using data obtained from the websites of Breeders Club of Hunting Retrievers (Klub loveckých slídičů) and Retriever Club CZ. I primarily studied the effect of the dog breed and year onto the assessment of certain disciplines. By means of the statistical method Anova I came to the conclusion that none of the monitored parameters, i.e. dog breed and year, have any significant effect on the assessment. The only statistically significant effect may be observed with the curly coated retriever breed in the discipline of tracking two pieces of furred game where the average grade of this breed amounts to 1.00, whereas with other breeds it ranges from 3.68 to 3.90. As far as the effect of the year on the assessment is concerned, only the year 2008 and 2009 may be considered statically significant in the discipline of standstill at a standpoint where average grades reached 2.75 or more precisely 3.25.
Selected factors affecting the performance of racehorses
Jirásková, Petra ; Vostrý, Luboš (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the selection of most significant factors influencing the performance of racehorses and a subsequent analysis of selected factors in terms of influence on the performance of racehorses in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the scientific hypothesis was that the obtained databases would allow for an exact analysis of the influence concerning selected factors (gender, age, season of birth and others) on the performance of racehorses in the Czech Republic The horses´ performance depends on a larger number of factors, which can be divided into two groups. The first group is the internal factors (genetic preconditions, build, constitution, temperament and character) and the second group is external factors, i.e. factors influenced by the environment and independent of a horse. The conditions of the environment along with the horses´genotype influence horses´performace the most. There is a wide range of external factors, e.g. season in which the horse was born, weight at birth, rearing of a foal, preventative health care, nutrition, moving regime, training, conditions of a particular race, the impact of age and gender. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the influence of selected factors on the performance. The general handicap has been used as the basic indicator of performance in individual horses, which is the performance evaluation of a horse in races in a particular year. The final database has been created in Excel, in which some calculations and graphs have been carried out as well. The very statistical processing has been done in the R program. The influence of the birth season, gender and age on the horses´ performance has been gradually evaluated. It has been found that in two-year horses the birth period significantly influences the age when starting races for the first time (i.e. the later the horses were born, the earlier they were able to start racing). Moreover, a connection between the amount of prize money and the gender in two-year horses has been found, with mares reaching higher prize money. A lower number of days from the birth to the first start in a race has been found in mares. An interesting connection has been found between the age of the first start and the general handicap rate (participating in the first race at the age of two had a positive influence on the handicap rate at the age of three.)

This work ecological state of the river Svatavy maps the condition of the watercourse, which rises in the Ore Mountains, south of the German Schöneck at an altitude of 710 m. N. M. The mapping was carried out in the stretch of the river from the village to near the town of Sokolov, in three sections. The first section forms part of the water flow away from the border, where the river forms the border Svatava, to the footbridge over the river, in front of the saw in the lead. The second section forms part of the watercourse from Oloví inflow in Luh nad Svatavou. The third section then from this tributary in Luh nad township Svatava to the very confluence of Ohře and Svatava Sokolov. Detailed measurements were performed on sixteen supply points Professional Plus instrument. Data collected in individual measurements, to individual extraction points, focused on the evaluation of the physico-chemical parameters of water flow. Based on these parameters was evaluated the current status of anthropogenic pollution watercourse Svatavy.

Phosphorus fertilizing of winter wheat in long-term field experiments including the sewage sludge treatment
Burgetová, Markéta ; Kulhánek, Martin (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
The theoretical part of the work is to describe the importance of phosphorus in soils and plants, and individual fertilizing systems, which is phosphorus in the soil supplied. Currently phosphorus considered limiting element in plant nutrition and it is therefore necessary to monitor the content and add it into the soil as required. Phosphorus is applied to the soil in different sorts of fertilizers. It is possible to use organic and mineral fertilizers and waste materials, for example sludge from sewage treatment plants. Sewage sludge appears to be a rich source of organic substances and other nutrients including phosphorus. Thanks to the application of sewage sludge on agricultural land, when used properly, reflects in the improvement of soil properties. The aim of this work is to compare different fertilizing treatments (sewage sludge, manure and mineral fertilizers) in terms of water-soluble, accessible and residual phosphorus in the soil and also in terms of the influence of the mentioned treatments on winter wheat yields. The experiment was conducted at Humpolec, Hněvčeves and Suchdol sites and the evaluation was realized between the years 1996 and 2015. The contents of readily available phosphorus at all sites were fairly balanced and did not clearly indicate the best fertilization option. The highest values were, however, in most cases measured at the sewage sludge treatment. Sewage sludge appeared to be good source of mobile phosphorus. The values were almost always higher in comparison to the other studied treatments. It was confirmed at all three sites. The increasing tendency in mobile soil P content was clearly visible during the experiments. Estimating of residual phosphorus was carried out in comparison with other factions only in the years 1996, 2005 and 2014. The highest levels of residual P after application of sewage sludge were achieved at Humpolec and Suchdol sites. At the station Hněvčeves, the highest content was estimated on the variant fertilized with mineral fertilizers. Even though the sludge proved to be the best phosphorus resource in our experiments, the highest winter wheat yields were reached using mineral fertilizers. A variant fertilized with sludge appeared to be second best way, and thereafter followed farmyard manure treatment.
