The History of Waldsassen Abbey since its Foundation to 1420 in Relation to Rulers of Bohemia and to the Cistercian Order
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Zdichynec, Jan (advisor) ; Bobková, Lenka (referee)
Annotation/Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the history and the development of cistercian abbey in Waldsassen since its origin in 1133 to 1420. This year is upper time limit of this thesis. This thesis should cover the reasons of foundation of this monastery, its imfluence, power in the Cheb region and his financial and economic relations and also changes inside monastic community. Important are social relations among particular members of the convent, especially part of the abbot like director of the monastery is pointed out. Author attempted to show connections of abbey in politics and participation off its members in the forming of history of Central Europe. Although Waldsassen was active in the Holy Roman Empire and developed its relations with the territories of Empire (Bavaria, Upper Palatinate, Egerland), it had the connections to the lands of the Crown of Bohemia and their rulers as well. It is the reason, why the most extensive chapter of this thesis is the fourth one about own history of abbey, the fifth one describes the relations of monastery with the czech sovereigns, but the connections of rulers of lands of the Crown of Bohemia were usually more feeble than these with the rulers of Roman empire.
Electrochemical studies of the analytical utilization of self-assembled monolayers of calix[4]arene on the surface of polycrystalline gold electrode
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Navrátil, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ludvík, Jiří (referee)
This MSc. Thesis deals with electrochemical studies of the analytical utilization of self-assembled monolayers of thiolated calix[4]arene (C4A) and/or undecanthiole (C11SH) on the surface of a polycrystalline gold electrode. Hydroquinone, nitrobenzene, 2-nitrophenole and 4-nitrophenole have been used as tested model compounds. The real surface area of the electrode was determined using these two methods: From the charge of desorption peak of α-gold oxides (5.72±0.48 mm2 ) and using the Randles- Ševčík equation. (6.14±0.59 mm2 ). The preparation of the electrode consisted of polishing on alumina, immersing into piranha solution and cyclic voltammetry. The area of electrode surface was well reproducible. Stability of thiol monolayer in the area of negative potentials was tested. The C11SH layer is very stable; the desorption peak was recorded in basic solutions only (at −1.3 V vs. 3M Ag/AgCl). The position of the desorption peak of C4A is more pH dependent and it was recorded at −1.08 V at pH 13. The properties of the electrode modified by C11SH and or C4A were investigated using the model compound hydroquinone. It is assumed that the oxidation of the hydroquinone does not take place inside the C4A cavity; hence the hydroquinone molecule is too big to pass through the cavity. C11SH and C4 + C11SH act...
Voltammetric Determination of 5-Nitroindazole Using Hanging Mercury Drop Electrode Different Electrode and Polished Silver Solid Amalgam Electrode
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Navrátil, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zima, Jiří (referee)
The presented Bachelor Thesis deals with a study of electrochemical behavior of 5-nitroindazole (5-NI) with the search of optimal conditions for its determination using tech- niques of DC voltammetry (DCV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at hanging mer- cury drop electrode (HMDE) and polished silver solid amalgam electrode (p-AgSAE), and with the comparison of reached limits of quantification (LQ ). The optimal conditions found for determination of 5-NI in deionized water using DPV at HDME were as follows: Britton-Robinson (BR) buffer of pH 8.0 and inital potential of +100 mV. The calibration dependences were measured in the concentration range from 1·10-7 to 1·10-5 mol·dm-3 with the LQ of 1.8·10-7 mol·dm-3 . Moreover, the posibility of using adsorbtion stirring voltametry (AdSV) for determination of 5-NI in BR buffer of pH 8 was investigated. The method was ineffective due to rising base- line. The mechanism of electrochemical reduction and oxidation in BR buffer of pH 8 at HMDE was investigated. It was found that the reduction of 5-NI was controlled by diffusion and the following oxidation was controlled by adsorbtion. For determination of 5-NI in deionized water using DVP at p-AgSAE, optimal conditions seemed to be as follows: BR buffer of pH 8.0 and initial potential of +100 mV....
A current account contract with a special regard to German legislation
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Liška, Petr (advisor) ; Horáček, Vít (referee)
- THE CURRENT ACCOUNT CONTRACT CONSIDERING GERMAN LEGISLATION In my diploma thesys I have focused on legal regulation of current account contract not only in czech law but also in german law. Is not comparison in strict sence, but just a considiration of in my opinion more exact and explicit legislation of legal institute. In introduction part I have pointed out the term of current account, its purpose and fuction. The main part is focused on applicable legislation of current account contract, its characteristic and to statutes concerning above mentioned questions (for example Act on banks, Act on payment system act). I also mention issuies of contracting parties position, management of banc account , fee for account maintenance, interest on the balance of funds on accounts, termination of contract, account owners death, payments and related deadlines for execution of payment transactions or unilateral changes to terms and conditions. I also consider to be relevant that the czech legislator introduced dual regulation of current account contract in connection with the implementation of european directive. Czech legislator distinguish between current account contract that is not a payment service contract and current account contract that is payment service contract. In my opinion this duality causes...
The Results of Radiotherapy in Tumors of the Vocal Cords
HRDLIČKA, Vojtěch
Malignant tumors of vocal cords are the less common, but not rare carcinomas. My thesis contains information on results of radiotherapy in tumors of the vocal cords in terms of recurrence and five-year survival rates for early stage disease. It's also included statistics containing information about rescue total laryngectomy, radiation techniques and within hypothesis are compared results of radiotherapy of IMRT and CRT techniques. Also compared are doses delivered to the target volume. The aim is then compare results with literature and assess whether the indicated dosage affects the efficacy of curative radiotherapy. This work is supported by quantitative statistical survey in the range of 106 patients. Data was obtained for South Bohemian Region, in the archive of the Oncology Department in the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. in the range of 2000 2009. In the total group of 91 curative irradiated patients was found 57,54 % preponderance representation of T1 tumors and 21,69 % of T2 tumors. Five-year survival of patients with stage T1 corresponds to 90,16 % and 69,57 % of T2 stage. Rescue laryngectomy was performed a total of 12 with an average extension of life of patients by 5 years. A dose used for IMRT and conformal technique was found to be lower than literature recommends.
The mechanism of the Great Depression's penetration into the Czechoslovak economy, it's course and consequences
Hrdlička, Vojtěch ; Tajovský, Ladislav (advisor) ; Váňa, Daniel (referee)
This graduation thesis is dedicated to the description and analysis of economic development in interwar Czechoslovakia during the Great Depression. Firstly, political and economical changes which occurred in the world after the World War I and which had subsequently the main influence on the collapse of world's economy will be described. Also oppinions on possible causes of origin of this crisis will be summarized. The main scope of this graduation thesis is to describe and analyze the penetration of the Great Depression into the Czechoslovak economy, it's course and consequences that this crisis caused. The penetration of the crisis is observed in three different periods according to it's power. A significant part of this thesis consists above all with an observation of development of the macroeconomic indicators during the Great Depression in particular sectors of the Czechoslovak economy and their confrontation with the situation before the crisis. This thesis also addresses the question of social impacts of the crisis in Czechoslovakia. One part is also dedicated to comparison of the main economic indicators with other selected countries affected by the crisis.
