Control Unit For Electroporating Generator
Folprecht, Martin
This contribution deals with a design and improvement of a logic unit, which controlsa HV generator for AC cell electroporation. The generator produces short bursts of bipolar highvoltagepulses. Its safety is provided by appropriate topology of a power part and by safety circuits atthe control unit.
Power Converters For Cell Electroporation
Folprecht, Martin
This contribution refers about some topologies of power converters, which are used for medical purposes. The use of power converters in treatment of a cancer or an arrhythmia is a modern medical technique, which is still in development. The aim of the contribution is to compare current samples of power converters for medical purposes and briefly describe a design of a high-frequency power generator for AC electroporation.
Battery block for electric mower
Kaláb, Pavel ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the construction, protective circuits and lifespan of lithium ion batteries intended for electric lawn mower. The entire battery is composed of Li-ion cells with designation NCR18650A, which are connected in serial-parallel. Due to the connection of the cells in series, it is necessary to add protective circuit to each cell. Protective circuits prevent overcharging or deep discharging. Li-ion cells are extremely sensitive to overcharging and deep discharging. Absence of protective circuits can lead to irreversible damage of the entire battery pack.
Switch Mode Power Supplies
Folprecht, Martin
This article refers about my master thesis. The topic of my master thesis is the design and the construction of the switch mode power supply, which will be used as a laboratory tool. The design is shortly described and summarized in this article.
Current Supplies For Water Disinfection
Folprecht, Martin
The article refers about functional samples of current supply, which will be used as a power supply for a small water disinfection device. This device is developed to create drinking water from service water or polluted water. Functional samples will be tested in a special stand with different kinds of polluted water and after that, most suitable variant will be used in mass production.
System with AC generator for cell electroporation
Lukoianov, Petr ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is observing a system with AC generator for cell electroporation. The first paragraph keeps an eye on description of methodology of biophysics mechanisms. In the 2nd part several kinds of devices were described. In the last paragraph you can see a non-assembled construction and operating principle of the device. Apart from that the control circuit logic explored and device manual is included.
Three-phase converter for synchronous servomotors
Perout, Miroslav ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealing with the design of a DC / AC converter for the control of PMSM motors. In the first step, the type of motor and the possibilities of sensing the position of the rotor are described. Subsequently, the power section is designed and the losses, heating, and approximate efficiency of the inverter are calculated. In the following step, the processor is selected and individual communication and protection circuits are designed. At the same time, control algorithms are analyzed. The last part is describing the implementation of the PCB and the inverter as a whole.
LiFePO4 battery charger 14,6 V 100 A
Hanžl, Ondřej ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design, construciton and testing of a switch-mode power supply (SMPS) which is working as a LiFEPO4 battery charger with output current up to 100~A and output voltage up to 14,6~V. The output voltage and current can be regulated by the operator from zero to maximum value. For this SMPS Half-bridge asymmetrical forward converter with two transformers and common output inductor topology is chosen. The control circuits are run by the IC SG3525. Cascaded regulation of output voltage and current is implemented by two discrete operational amplifiers. Undervoltage protection of the control circuits and independent overcurrent protection on the primary side is also implemented.
Half Bridge Switch Mode Supply
Botek, Lukáš ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Folprecht, Martin (advisor)
This master´s thesis describes switch mode power supply and discusses the design of its individual parts. It also contains a simulation of the power part of the converter and a reseach in the area of DC/DC converters.
DC-DC converter for onboard charging of electric vehicles
Holub, Miroslav ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Folprecht, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design of DC-DC converter for onboard charging of electric vehicle. Developed converter will mainly be used for charging stationary traction battery in laboratory. Output voltage of this charger will be adjustable by user in between 200 V and 450 V depending on the current charged battery configuration. Output current limit is set at 8 A. Since the converter will be supplied from standard household socket, the problem of power factor correction must be solved during the design. That is because a large part of this thesis is focused on describing the problematics of power factor correction. After that, active PFC module is designed, completed and performance of this module is verified. To achieve low overall losses and thus be able to keep small volume of the system, modern switching components based on Silicon Carbide were preferred. Beside laboratory use, completed system will be used to emphasize volumetric difference between onboard chargers based on old versus modern switching components.
