Nováková, Iveta ; Sitek,, Libor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Master`s thesis is divided in to two parts, practical and theoretical. In theoretical part are listed basic information’s about light weight concrete, special emphasis are given to characteristic and practical application of compact light weight concrete with Liapor aggregates. In this study is described influence of high temperature on concrete structure and chemical, mechanical and physical changes, which take place during exposal to high temperatures. Further is evaluated surface permeability of concrete and addition of polypropylene fibres to concretes resistive to high temperatures. The practical part deals with design, production and testing of cement based concrete with use of different aggregates (light weight aggregates Liapor, basalt). The properties and use for applications in high temperatures is also mentioned. The influence of high temperature on strength, absorption, thermal conductivity, changes of surface permeability and degradation of testing specimens due to heat loads according to normative heat curve (ISO 834). For better transparency are experimental tests divided in to five phases and the measured values are evaluated on the end of each phase. In conclusion are resumed all knowledge’s obtained by testing and evaluated the most suitable formulation. The approach for further research is also mentioned.

Blaha, Lukáš ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This dissertation desribes the behavior of cellulose fiber reinforced concrete. In the theoretical section one can find basic information on cellulose fiber and its methods of production and usage in concrete structures. One can find the information about the effect of high temperature on the mechanical and physical attributes of cellulose fiber reinforced concrete, and also a comparison with other fibers used in concrete based on the research done using scientific literature. Furthermore the details about particular cellulose fibers are provided. In the experimental section the formulas for CHRYSO and GREENCEL concrete are designed. The influence of the addition of various types of cellulose fibers into both liquid and solid states of concrete was researched. Tests were also done on the effect of high temperatures (600 °C and 800 °C) on the firmness and densitiy of concrete, its deformations and visual changes. Furthermore, the resistance of cellulose fibers was monitored by monitoring the development of the pH environment (from pH 4 to pH 12) with long-term deposition of different types of cellulose fibers in these environments.

The paper describes the on-going happening in the individual components of concrete and benefits of using dispersed reinforcement. In the practical part were designed concrete mixtures with different types and quantities of fibers. The object of the research was to determine how different types and amounts of fibers affect the physical - mechanical properties of concrete and their suitability for use in high temperatures.
Study of properties of cement composites with addition of polymer fibers
Dokoupil, Tomáš ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the use of polymer fibers in cement matrix. It describes the distribution and production of the most commonly used polymer fibers as well as the requirements for their properties. A comparison of the properties of different types of polymer fibers is given. The work presents the individual components of the fiber concrete matrix, its production, testing of fresh and hardened fiber concrete and specific examples of its use in practice. Using professional research, the influence of PP, PE and PVA fibers on the properties of fresh and hardened concrete is described in detail. New trends in the use of polymer fibers are also presented. At the end of the work, a procedure of experimental verification of the properties of fiber-reinforced concrete in comparison with a reference sample of plain concrete is proposed.

Verification of properties of concretes with nanoparticles
Pacltová, Klára ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the influence of addition of carbon nanoparticles on cement composites. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the research of information about carbon nanoparticles, more precisely about carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide. There are summarized methods of dispersing carbon nanotubes and their effects on cement composites. The practical part follows the theoretical part of the research. In the first phase, the correct technique of graphene oxide dispersion was verified. Subsequently, the effects of graphene oxide on the mechanical properties of cement mortars were verified. In the final phase of the diploma thesis, the knowledge gained from the previous part was verified on concrete samples.
Usability of basal fibres in cement composites
Kolková, Kristína ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with issues of using basalt fibers in cement composites and it consists of a theoretical research and an experimental part. In the theoretical research is a description of properties of basalt fibers, production technology and behavior of fresh and hard concrete with addition of basalt fibers. There is mentioned an example of application in practice of basalt fibers for a reconstruction of a bridge construction. The theoretical research also deals with more possibilities of use of products made from melted basalt. In the experimental part was verified behavior of fresh and hard concrete with the addition 3, 10 and 20 kg.m-3 of short basalt fibers. These mixtures were compared with the reference mixture from plain concrete. There was determined the consistency in fresh condition by the slump test, the density and the air content. The flexure strength, compressive strength and tensile strength were determined on hard concrete samples in age of 28 days. The presence of basalt fibers was detected by an electron scanning microscope.

Behavior of concrete at high temperatures
Dvořáková, Michaela ; Bruckner,, Dipl Heinrich (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to focus on the resistance of concrete exposed to high temperatures especially with focus of resistance against explosive spalling as well as clarifying the mode of action of various types of polypropylene fibres. The theoretical part is an introduction to the issues of explosive spalling, its mechanisms and majority influencing factors. Further description of the processes taking place in the structure of concrete under extreme thermal load, distribution and size of pores in concrete, thermal load, temperature-time curves and their applications, methods of elimination of negative behaviour of concrete exposed to thermal loading (passive and active methods), mode of action of polypropylene fibres and more is also included in the theoretical part. The main aim of experimental part is to verify the function of polypropylene fibers of various Melt Flow Indexes (MFI) and dosage. Primarily, the test samples with content of the PP-fibers are compared to the reference sample without fibers. Secondarily, the samples with standard PP-fibers (with MFI 25) with dosage 2.0 kg/m3 are compared to samples with modified PP-fiber (with MFI 2500) of dosage 0.9 kg/m3. Photogrammetric images were used for evaluation and comparison of spalled surfaces and its depth. Determination of the softening temperature and melting point of the modified and standard PP-fibers was made by using a high temperature microscope video. The second part of the experimental work was to define concrete permeability at different temperatures and pressures. Permeability was measured at temperatures of 20°C, 90°C, 150°C, 175°C, 200°C, 225°C and 250°C and at pressure of 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 MPa.
