Verification of the urban design of Mendlovo náměstí from the point of traffic

The diploma thesis deals with the modeling of traffic in the Mendel Square according to the documents of the Office of the Brno Architect. The modeling process takes place in software Aimsun. The result of this work is to compare the data with the provided results according to the standard, to determine the resulting output values from the software and to identify the problem areas affecting individual transport and urban public transport.

Statistical characteristics of the traffic flow microstructure

The actual traffic flow theory assumes interactions only between neighbouring vehicles within the traffic. This assumption is reasonable, but it is based on the possibilities of science and technology available decades ago, which are currently overcome. Obviously, in general, there is an interaction between vehicles at greater distances (or between multiple vehicles), but at the time, no procedure has been put forward to quantify the distance of this interaction. This work introdukce a method, which use mathematical statistics and precise measurement of time distances of individual vehicles, which allows to determine these interacting distances (between several vehicles) and its validation for narrow densities of traffic flow. It has been revealed that at high traffic flow densities there is an interaction between at least three consecutive vehicles and four and five vehicles at lower densities. Results could be applied in the development of new traffic flow models and its verification.
Microscopic traffic model of streets Veveří and Kounicova.

Diploma thesis deals with microscopic traffic model of the streets Veveří and Kounicova including adjacent road network. This model was created in software Aimsun based on maps, the results of the directional survey, traffic intensity at junctions and signal plans. Elaborated model of the current state location of interest was calibrated according to the traffic intensities on the entrance and exit roads. They have also been designed and created three possible variants of the solution streets Veveří and Kounicova. All variants were finally compared and evaluated.

Intersection of Špirkova and Hanácká streets in Tuřany

The bachelor's thesis deals with design of crossroad reconstruction between Hanácká x Špirkova street , which is situated in Tuřany,the part of Brno city. The concept is being dimensioned for traffic load after the finishing of bypass (new road II/380 Telnice- Černovická). Three more options are processed in this project, especially option A. An option B and C are just presented as a concept .. There is also an ensurance of bus stop locations due to passangers comfort. The all options are designed in accordance with applicable standards.
Street Design of the Residential Area in Kostelec

The aim of this thesis is to design a new residential area in Kostelec village, to come up with a solution of transport infrastructure, parking space and to deal with the location and size of parcels for the future development. The residential area is located in the northwest part of Kostelec village, with estimated area of 43,300 square meters which has been designated in a municipality’s urban management plan for this particular residential development. The defined land has been subdivided into about thirty sections with minimum area of 750 square metres. All characteristics of residential areas were taken in consideration while planning the design of the residential area in Kostelec village. The thesis offers three different designed plans for the area from which one was chosen as the best with regard to multi-criteria evaluations.
Microsimulation model of the intersection of streets Hlinky and Bauerova

The aim of this work is to model and evaluate existing Hlinky/Bauerova intersection, and to propose modifications based on software for trafic microsimulation. Afterwards, the data is used to evaluate capacity of the intersection with traffic lights for the following years.
Bánovce nad Bebravou - bypass

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is the design and explanation of the bypass of municipality Bánovce nad Bebravou, located in Trenčín region, about 30 kilometers away from Trenčín city. The route starts on the road E 572 from Trenčín. The route is designed as a road of category S 24,5/100; 6,2 kilometres long. The goal of this thesis is suggestion of the bypass according to ground plan and execution with effort of minimization of costs and disruption of the enviroment. The main reason for the bypass is a bad traffic situation and high traffic load in Trenčín.
