I focus on a few disputable issues, which haven't been sufficiently solved so far and often have been neglected by Czech literature. The aim of the bachelor thesis called "Public activities of members of the Dominican convent of St. Giles illustrated through the examples of Angelus Lubojacký and Aleš Pařízek." is to outline and describe the life and work of two members of the Dominican convent of St.Giles using the historical progress of the Dominican order as a background. The thesis consists of two chapters. Each of them deals with the childhood, the studies, the circumstances of their joining the order, public work and activities of Angelus Lubojacký and Aleš Pařízek, either within or outside the monastery. Both personae are considered to be controversial figures regarding the Dominican order. The way the order approached both men was significantly different given the peculiarities of their times, which are also a theme of this thesis.
