Raising children in a family from the perspective of parents of Vietnamese living in the Czech Republic

This bachelor's thesis explores, and ascertains, the view of Vietnamese adolescents regarding parenting styles in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes parenting styles in an American-European context, Confucianism in Vietnamese society, Vietnamese families in Czech Republic and different factors that could influence parenting styles and a Vietnamese family's life in the Czech Republic, such as: integration of Vietnamese, identity of the second generation of Vietnamese migrants, Confucian concept of family ideology and upbringing, etc. The practical part analyses a young, Vietnamese girl reflection about the upbringing of her parents. The Importance of the Streetwork and Streetmobil Projeets in the Drop In

The main topic of this work are two exchange programs - Streetwork and Streetmobil I which are organized by the Drop In Foundation. These two street programs are very often the first services which a drug user meets. The target population of this type of services is the so called hidden population, with minimum motivation to seek proffesional assistance and to solve their problems. Both programmes are focused on minimizing the health nad social risks and the negative impacts of drug misuse for users themselves and for the society. This thesis focuses mainly on homosexuality in the human society from the view of historical, social, cultural and clinical aspects. It is concerned with cultural and historical periods of gays and lesbians in our country. The reader should gain a complex view on this area from this thesis which is based on analysis of society attitudes together with a comparison to other modern and developed cultures. The text is divided into several sections: part one defines homosexuality as a clinical term, part two deals with changes in attitudes towards homosexuality from a historical point of view, part three gives information about civil partnership, discrimination and homoparentality. Problems of Penitencial Care and Its Consequences Projecting into the Field Postpenitencial Care

I worked on various philosophic themes relating to punishment and on the origins of the role of punishment in society. This chapter explores the nature of incarceration and the problems which can arise from a penology viewpoint. I later focus on the psychological aspects of the incarceration period, the stress and trauma involved and the various problems resulting from this. The following chapter is dedicated to the problems of aggression in penal institutions. I later focus on alternatives to typical incarceration methods, examine the alternatives and look at the advantages and dis advantages of the various approaches. I then focus on rehabilitation and reAsocialisation programs for prisoners released conditionally and those who served their entire sentence. Domestic violence against men

This thesis deals with domestic violence against men committed by women. It starts with defining the phenomenon of domestic violence generally using the contextualization. The main part of the thesis focuses on domestic violence against men and its aspects. The characteristic features of this form of spousal assault are completed with several statistics from the Czech Republic and from abroad as well. The description of the domestic violence against men consists of typical forms of illNusage committed by women, consequences of it and the list of the most frequent cause of women's aggressiveness against partner. A brief evaluation of services provided to men under threat by most significant NGOs is included. The thesis contains public inquiry focusing on men under threat of domestic violence as well. HIV Prevention at Schools

Writer introduce basic facts about HIV/AIDS disease in first chapter. She explains difference between HIV and AIDS and she gives information direct to this issue. She describes types of transfer, protection methods, testing types, infection stages and related treatment. Short excursion to history about first occurrence of the virus, way of spread, numbers of infected in present. In next chapter she introduce tools which Czech Republic use to cover this issue of HIV/AIDS. As is National program against AIDS, National referential laboratory for AIDS or AIDS centers. Program Health21 is included. It's aimed to certain number seven. She also goes through some selected pragues organizations, united in non-govermental union and she presents theirs projects in primary prevention at schools. She informs about presentations, peer programs and she concentrates on differences. Than she presents two projects Choose life from ACET and Chat about HIV and AIDS from the Czech AIDS Help Society. Which she desribes in detail and than evaluate and compare due to aim she set up.
Substitution Treatment: Subutex

Bachelor's thesis named "Substitution treatment - Subutex" introduces a reader with possible solution of opioid addiction theme, where one of the possible treatments is the replacement with Subutex preparation. Thesis is divided into seven sections. First one deals with the drug policy in the Czech Republic. Next part informs the reader with harm reduction approach in general that includes substitution treatment as well. Thesis presents goals, types and providers of the substitution treatments as well as two lately prescribed medicaments in the Czech Republic: Subutex and Suboxone. After eight years from its registration in 2000 Subutex has turned from being the solution to the problem of opiates addiction. As a result of it a new remedy to deal with these problems has been introduced this January. It bears name Suboxone. The last section introduces into users experience. The thesis looks at the issue from the users' point of view using qualitative inquiry method among clients treated with Subutex. This inquiry tries to learn about clients' experience with the session in general, conditions and with rules imposed by the attending physician, together with its breaching if there is any. Syndrom CAN

The graduation work deals with the issues of syndrom CAN particularly with physical punishment of children as a possible form of abuse. The work is divided into three main parts. The first and the second part is theoretical an there is contained information about syndrom CAN and physical punishments, got by reading professional literature and other sources. The empiric part deals with questionnaire survey and it's results. Respondents became pupils of the sixth grade of Primary shool in Prague and Primary school in Nové Město na Moravě. Primary Prevention of Abuse of Addictive Toxic Substance - in Pilsen

The topic of this bachelor work is the primary drug prevention. The first part of this work - presents definitions of fundamental concepts and terms, further the effectiveness, evaluation and quality standards of preventive programs. The next chapter describes briefly the development of primary prevention in the Czech Republic and there are also listed actual legislative regulations. This is followed by concise epidemiology of drug addictions in Pilsener region from 1997 to 2007. The practical part maps projects of primary prevention of drug abuse - it is shown as a comparison of situations in the year 1997 and the present.
