Časově-prostorová analýza syntetizovaného paprsku
Uruba, Václav ; Knob, Martin
The Bi-Orthogonal Decomposition is applied to analyze the velocity data obtained from experiment on synthetic jet flow. The spatiotemporal velocity distributions are obtained by the PIV method in fast time sequence. Dynamical characteristic of the studied flow-field are presented.
Nestacionární chování rovinného paprsku, injektovaného do korýtkové kavity
Knob, Martin ; Šafařík, P. ; Adamec, J.
The unsteady behavior of a plane jet impining into a trough- like shaped cavity is studied in the range of jet hydraulic diamater based Reynolds numbers between 3000 and 20000, the cavity aspect ratios between 1:2 and 3:4 and, finally, for the impingement angles between 0 and 15°. It is explained in detail, that the jet- swinging is caused by the unsteady Coanda effect.
Experimentální a numerické vyšetřování nestacionárního chování impaktního proudu do korýtkové kavity
Knob, Martin ; Antoš, Pavel ; Adamec, J.
In this contribution, the unsteady behaviour of a jet impinging into a trough- like shaped cavity is discussed; the investigation is performed both experimentally and numerically. The unsteady character of this flow is considered a result of instability in otherwise symmetrical flow- field. The mechanism of the jet swinging is then identified as an action of the Coanda effect between a jet and a quasi- wall- jet.
Dynamika syntetizovaného paprsku
Uruba, Václav ; Knob, Martin ; Popelka, Lukáš
The paper presents recent results obtained in synthetic jet research in IT, Fluid Dynamics Department. The case in quiescent air is examined experimentally using time-resolved PIV method. Results concerning a synthetic jet mean characteristics and dynamics behaviour are presented.
Nestacionární charakteristiky impaktního proudění do korýtkové kavity
Knob, Martin ; Antoš, Pavel ; Adamec, J.
In this contribution, the unsteady behaviour of a jet, impinging into a trough cavity is described. The mechanism of the switching of the jet is clarified and the effect of the impingement angle is discussed. The problem was studied both experimentally and numerically. The numerical investigation is performed using a commercial package Fluent 6.1, while the experimental data are obtained using the hot- wire probe. The experimental and the numerical data are compared and discussed.
Comparison of experimental and numerical data in 2D impact flow
Knob, Martin ; Antoš, Pavel ; Adamec, J.
In the contribution, the experimentally obtained and the numerically computed data in a two- dimensional impinging jet flow are compared. The calculations were performed using a commercial solver Fluent v. 6.1, while the experimental data were obtained using a hot- wire probe. In the calculations, both the k-SST and the RSM models of turbulence were employed. The comparison has been done for three various jet hydraulic diamater and jet mean velocity based Reynolds numbers, 2800, 8400 and 1400, respectively.
Modification of the theoretical solution of the hot-wire temperature distribution
Antoš, Pavel ; Knob, Martin
Temperature distribution along the wire with respect to non-linear resistivity-temperature relationship and its comparison with the simplified theoretical solution is the subject of the paper.
Numerical Investigation of Heat Transfer in a Jet Impinging into a Trough Cavity
Knob, Martin ; Šafařík, P. ; Adamec, J.
The work deals with numerical investigation of heat transfer in a trough cavity.
The Influence of Vorticity on the Passive Scalar Transport in Oscillatory Flow
Vališová, K. ; Knob, Martin ; Adamec, J.
The work follows the previous knowledge of the influence of flow separation region on the mass transport in lungs. The knowledge is generalized and the work focuses on the influence of vorticity on the passive scalar transport at given flow conditions, i.e. the oscillatory flow.
Vliv bočních stěn na dvorozměrný impaktní proud
Knob, M. ; Šafařík, P. ; Uruba, Václav ; Adamec, J.
The work deals with the influence of the side walls on both the fluid mechanical and the heat transfer characteristics of a two- dimensional impingigs jet.
