Acrylic glass base production to gramophone deck
Bezděk, Filip ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at a very detailed process of a transparent plexiglass used for manufacturing an upstand of a gramophone. The diploma work is mainly focused on various types of the plexiglass, its attributes and the gramophone’s upstand production. Several manufacturing technologies of a plexiglass such as division of a board-type semi product, precise milling, grinding, polishing and thermal treatment are provided in this diploma work through a very detailed description of a production process of a gramophone’s deck. The outcome of this thesis is a description of individual technologies and the economic evaluation within the real business environment of AZ Plastik company.

New ways in manufacturing and construction of mould for wax casting
Dostál, Pavel ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to compare technology of silicon and aluminium moulds used to make castings using technology of cire perdue with single – piece work. The work itself deals with physical production of silicon mould in vacuum casting system, shaping aluminium mould using CNC machine and subsequent casting of wax models into these moulds. It also handles with physical production of one piece by shaping. It contains background research of the method lost wax casting manufacturing aluminium and silicon moulds and last but not least of Rapid Prototyping technology for producing master model.

Comparison of roughing strategies in various CAM softwares
Hrabovský, Adam ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with roughing strategies especially with those included in chosen CAM software. The initial part states the common information about the effects on precision of machining and tool load. Next chapter deals with methods of machining and their resulting requirements on construction of the machine. It is followed by the description of new roughing strategies and their utilization; also roughing tools were selected for machining of specified models of mold parts, made of steel and aluminium alloy. In the practical part, roughing strategies were applied to stocks which were subsequently compared by the machining times.

Innovation of suspension mechanism for mountain bike
Hrubý, Patrik ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis includes the description, the analyze of the issue and innovations of the bike suspension for mountain bike, including design of the geometry, shape and propose of the production in the individual production devices. Belonging work is also construction 3D model of the particular parts the bike suspension and making mechanical drawing. The next thesis hints as exploitation of the modern technologies as is reverse engineering, making models in program Autodesk Inventor or work on 5-axis CNC milling machine and their interaction.

FEM for fast machining simulation
Šeda, Pavel ; Madaj, Martin (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
The work will be focused on FEM for fast machining simulation. Introduction described the theoretical basis of FEM. The various methods (implicit, explicit) and the individual programs (ANSYS Ls-Dyna, Abaqus, Deform, AdvantEdge). At the end of the model calculation will be made for orthogonal cutting, which will be created in Ansys Worbench, counted in a computer program LS-DYNA and the results displayed in the LS-PrePost.

FEM for machining simulation
Vojtek, Aleš ; Madaj, Martin (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
The introduction to turning basics, chip separation process, cutting force generation and description of the finite element method. With this knowledge, a cutting simula-tion of AISI 1045 steel was done for 3 different rake angles, which was simplified by using an orthogonal machining model. The next simulation was cutting of AISI 6150 steel with the use of a 3D model of the grooving insert. The results of these simulations were then compared to the experimental results, and feasibility of finite element method was determined together with future recommendations for acquiring more pre-cise results.
