Apartment building
Jaroš, Radek ; Havířová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the design of a new apartment building and the elaboration of project documentation for the construction. The apartment building is located on the southern outskirts of the city of Brno in the Brno - Jih district, in the part of the village Přízřenice on flat terrain. The building is designed as a free-standing building with four above-ground floors and one underground floor completely sunk below ground level. In the underground part of the apartment building there is a technical background of the building and individual cellar cubicles for the housing units. There are twelve residential units in the above-ground part of the building, three units on each floor. Housing units on the ground floor are complemented by terraces, housing units on other floors are complemented by balconies and loggias. A barrier-free entrance to the building is designed. An elevator is also designed in the building. The above-ground part of the apartment building is made of Porotherm ceramic blocks and insulated with a contact thermal insulation system. The external load-bearing walls in the basement are monolithic made of reinforced concrete. The horizontal load-bearing structures are made of monolithic reinforced concrete slabs. A single-skin flat roof is designed for the apartment building. The building is based on foundation strips. The building is designed parking with a sufficient number of parking spaces. The house is designed according to the requirements for buildings with almost zero energy consumption. Such a requirement has been achieved through heat recovery and building envelope parameters.

The diploma thesis is the project of the hotel in Gbely. The Hotel is project as a four–storeyed house with one basement. The building is designed as object with twelve flats. The house has flat roof. The above grade masonry is created by Ytong system. The bearing walls in basement is created by Prefa BTB system, interior grade masonry is created by Ytong system. The partitions are created by Ytong system too. The main building entrance is situated to north–east side. In the basement, there are boiler room, alternative energy source, facilities for employees, laundry room, ironing room, air conditioning engine room and storage units. The first elevated floor is content of main entrance to the object, stairway, shop, reception, restaurant and bar, kitchen and elevators. Analysis of precast walls made of plain concrete and lightly reinforced concrete
Janda, Miloslav ; Lavický, Miloš (referee) ; prof. ing. Jan L. Vítek, CSc. (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This dissertation analyses precast walls made of plain concrete and lightly reinforced concrete. The main focus is on evaluating the concrete and the reinforcement of precast concrete wall panels in relation to manufacturing, handling, and final phases. The dynamic load component of panels during handling was measured in controlled tests. Shrinkage measurement was implemented during the maturing process of the concrete used for panel manufacturing. The value of cohesion was observed between the reinforcement and the concrete that had matured for 20 hours. It was also looked at the value of adhesive strength between the panel surface and the casting table. The experimental study checked the panel strain during removal from the casting table, the panel compression during a truck ride over an obstacle, and the tension in the carriage strap during panel transportation to the building site. Mathematical formulas were drawn up to validate the concrete and reinforcement of wall panels made of lightly reinforced concrete. Those mathematical formulas were applied in a specific panel wall design and the results were verified by nonlinear numerical models.

This thesis offers the complete documentation for the building permit and partial documentation for the construction work. It is based on an architectural plan and it is the outcome of AG35 (Architectural Design Studio 5) course. The two objectives of this study are the renovation of the former building of the Prosecutor General´s Office in Kobližná Street 22, that can be found in Brno city centre near Liberty Square (Náměstí svobody), and the suggestion about the new purpose of its usage. The renovation is possible under the condition that the ground plan of the building and partially also its exterior design should be preserved. To maintain the exterior design of this functionalist-style building I used e.g. the installation of new windows that are very similar to continuous windows. The interior of the building is completely altered and it is adapted to the new purpose of the building. I found inspiration in some of the original architectural elements, such as glass bricks or cast terazzo flooring. The building will serve as JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno) headquarters, namely for Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio and for the rectorate. The Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio premises are designed in terms of mutifunctionality - with sliding walls we can change the room design and adapt them to different types of use. The two floors with the studios will be newly connected with suspended staircase. There will be a public café for on the ground floor. The makeover of the front garden is also a part of this thesis. There is a water element that can be used as a stage, a sitting and an additional greenery.

Especially in this locality, where several urbanistic zones meet. The project was created as the atelier work as new winery building project, which answers to all requirements and does not separate building from society by design, but creates new spaces for them. With its conceptual and technical solution, the building meets all the requirements for use of the winery building.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the design of a new building for sparkling wine production in Kobylí na Moravě. The design also includes a wine bar, tasting room and accommodation for visitors. The study on this topic has already been elaborated within the subject Studio of Architectural Design 3 - AG033. This work is supplemented by Documentation for construction and Building permit documentation. The planned building is designed so that it fits into the surrounding collateral. The height of the buildings is adapted to the surrounding buildings. A two-storey building is designed. The building is partly embedded in the terrain and therefore from wiev main road is single-storey. Buildings in the area have a gabled roof. The gabled roof is therefore also chosen on the designed building. On the plot is designed building, which is composed of two sites, parts of production and public parts. The parts are visually separated by passing to the courtyard. In the production part there is a complete line for sparkling wine production from wine pressing to bottling, storage in a customs warehouse and subsequent expedition. There is also an office, facilities for employees, warehouse and laboratory for quality control of products. In the public part there is a wine bar, tasting room and accommodation for visitors. A thin layer of silicate plaster of white color is on the facade of the building. The main feature is the crossing of saddle roofs with shields and their framing. Four of the eight gables have decorative acacia wood trim on the façade. The frame is made of cement-bonded particleboards, which are painted with anthracite paint. The roof covering is made of galvanized sheets.
