Replacement of headlamp parts screw fixation by a plastic nail
Lysa, Bohuslav ; Píška, Miroslav (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The master thesis covers several issues linked to a substitution of headlamp screw fixation by a plastic nail. The thesis includes an analysis of the headlamp technology, including description of the prescribed durability tests. On the basis of the analysis some new designs of plastic nails are proposed, consistent with characteristics of plastic materials. Selected outcomes of the analysis have been tested as prototypes and verified with Finite Elements Method in SimDesigner including 3D modeling capabilities provided by the Catia V5. The feasibility study regarding a casting form of the new design of plastic nails and technical economic valuation for contingent assembly mounting is included in the thesis.

Kolkop, David ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This is a bachelor’s thesis concerning the analysis of workshop oriented turning work and milling on the turning center SP280SY , the project of technology of production and instrumental equipment for the cutting of the designed component. The elaboration of technical documentation for the designed component with the tolerated proportions and with the qualification of differences in the reached machine times by an application of the instrumental equipment of two producers.
High Speed Milling of Aluminum Alloys for Aircraft Industry
Pazdera, Lukáš ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this paper is a complex analysis of the high speed cutting in the aircraft industry. The paper studies especially the machining of aluminum alloys, which are characterized in the first part. We can find in next chapters a view on the high speed cutting from aspect of the chip formation, the force load and the machined surface roughness. The end of the paper is focused on the issues of the CNC, machining of typical aircraft shapes and description of roughing paths, which increase the productivity.
Optimization of production and programming in the Heidenhain TNC 530 control system
Tekeľ, Tibor Šimon ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
Optimization of technology of the specified component. Streamlining the NC program for machining center. Selection of suitable tooling. Technological documentation required for production of the component. Technical and economic evaluation of the proposed technological procedure.
Sinumerik tools for programming of CNC machines
Kulenda, Martin ; Sámelová, Vendula (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The master’s thesis incorporates the control system Sinumerik 840D to the most widely used control systems of CNC machine tools. In the first thesis part are analyzed the NC programming methodics, which are relative only to the control system Sinumerik 840D and an essentials necessary to understand the issue in the area of CNC machine tools. Next part of the thesis includes design of the technology and processing of the NC program for machined component (gearbox cover). The NC program is made by ShopMill that is focused on a workshop area. During the program creation is combined a ShopMill and parametric programming, with using of a conditional jump instructions and repetitions. The final part of the thesis includes verification of the selected component production process by simulation and technical-economic evaluation of the designed technology.
Machining of hard-to-machine materials
Varhaník, Matúš ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
General perspective of this diploma thesis was aimed at machining of hard-to-machine materials. Theoretical part contains division and specification of these types of materials. Ways of classification and evaluation were also listed. Causes of worsened machinability were defined with the design of possible technological solutions, which eliminates these features. The main target of experimental part was turning nickel-based superalloy Inconel® 718 with the purpose of increase process productivity. Knowledge about appropriate types of cutting tool material and his coating were necessary for process optimization. It was achieved by replacing reference cutting tool material (coated carbide inserts) with SiAlON ceramic. Cutting tool edge was tested with an intention to discover appropriate deal between tool life and volume of material removed. Measured cutting forces, generated by machining of reference and optimize technology, were processed by using simulation software. Total deformation of workpiece material was statistically evaluated. The conclusion of diploma thesis is technical-economic evaluation of both options.
Modern manufacturing trends in chip machining - milling and micromachining
Tkadlec, Jiří ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the research on micro-milling with the aim to specify the latest findings and trends in milling and micro-milling. The introduction consists of the specification of micro-milling and its comparison with conventional milling. The main goal of the thesis is to interpret modern trends in micro-milling technology, such as machine modernization, advanced machining strategies and the latest CAD/CAM software. The second part deals with the influence of cutting parameters on the overall workpiece quality. The final part is devoted to the application and use of micro-milling technology.
Modular outputs from exhaust canals
Dostoupil, Jiří ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The project aims to design the ideal, fully functional version of a modular outlet for the ABB company, residing in Brno, Vídeňská street. After designing the modular outlet, I will proceed to draw up bills of materials for individual segments. A bill of materials will be drawn up based on previous considerations and corporate conventions. Furthermore, I prepared the grandwork for an SAP configurator and I also established the technological procedure in accordance with the machines used in the ABB company.
Application of the SinuTrain 4.93 software in milling
Bartuněk, Martin ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design and preparation of the production of a single front mountain bike chainring, using computer software SinuTrain 4.93. The work has several parts. The first part discusses the possibilities of NC programming and measurement. The next part deals with the design of a chainring, material selection and strength analysis. In the third part of the work, the technological conditions of milling are proposed and the machine is chosen. Next step is creation of NC program including inprocess measurement by workpiece probe and design of postprocess measurement by optical system SOL165. Finally, the work outputs obtained in the form of SinuTrain software simulation are evaluated.
