Title: The level of motor skills and physical activity in school-age children (9-11 years) Author: Bc.Tomáš Šorna Supervisor: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: An aim of the work is to find out, in one week of monitoring, a relationship between physical activity of young school-age children and their level of motoric skills with respect to their age. The aim is also to find character of mutual relationships between indicators of physical activity and motoric skills. Methods: The target market of the thesis are pupils of third, fourth and fifth classes (n=73; 10,3 ± 0,8 years) in one of the primary schools in Příbram. In the thesis has been applied method of analysis Actigraph GT3X, which has analysed physical activity and TGMD-2 test (Test of Gross Motor Skills - 2nd edition) to find out needful data of motoric skills. Results: Average figure of moderately to high physical activity exceeded recommended level of physical activity good for health development (70 ± 38,7 min). However, 70% of young pupils reached below-average to low results. Moderately strong relationship (p < 0,01; r = 0,405) has been found out between physical activity (average medium to high intensive physical activity per day) and motoric skills (total performance during TGMD-2 test). Impact of the age has not been found...

Horák, Lukáš ; Musálek, Martin (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Frequency of normal weight obese preschool children and its physical fitness - selected populations of children from 6 Prague kindergartens. Objectives: The goal of this thesis is to find out the occurence and physical fitness of preschool age children with normal weight obese and compare it with physical fitness of normal weight non-obese preschool children and children with overweight and obese. Methods: Observation is the main method used in this thesis (regarding to title). We analysed 289 preschool aged children and chose BMI index in the range of 25th to 80th percentil, according to Vignerova at al. (2006) along with values of each skinfold higher then 85th percentil according to Bláha et al. (1990), to identify normal weight obese children. Physical fitness was based on several tests: multistage 20 metre shuttle run, standing long jump, sit-ups, sit- and-reach, throw ball with alternative hands. To analyse all the facts and get results we used descriptive statistics, tests of normaltity and ANOVA. Results: We identified n = 12 normal weight obese children (4,15 %) from all participating children. Results of research showed us that normal weight obese children were worse than normal weight non-obese children by 5,80 %, respectively by 4,76 %. Children that were overweight and obese had...

Title: The Level of Physical Activity and Physical Fitness at Elementary School-Age Children Author: Bc. Filip Soucha Thesis supervizor: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: To determine and compare the level of physical activity, physical fitness and the amount of subcutaneous fat at younger school children. Furthermore, the next goal is to find out the correlation between them. Methods: The research group consists of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade pupils (n=77). The Unifittest (6-60) was applied to deduce the level of physical fitness, the TGMD- 2 test was employed to find out the level of physical activity. In addition, somatic measurements, which are integral to the Unifittest (6-60), were utilized to discover the amount of subcutaneous fat. Results: 32% of children showed average results in the complex physical fitness due to test standard. The same percentage of children (34%) was above and below the average standard as well. 79% of children presented imbalanced performances in particular tests. The best results were seen in sit-up test on the contrary, the worst results were given in endurance shuttle run. The level of subcutaneous fat was above-average at 50% of children,. The results of physical activity level uncovered the below-average performances at the research group -70% of the children....
Relationship between the maximum isokinetic strength and one repetition maximum leg press in soccer players U15- U17
Baratynskyy, Ivan ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Relationship between the maximum isokinetic strength and one repetition maximum leg press in soccer players U15- U17. Objectives: Determine whether it exist dependence between maximum strength leg press and isokinetics of the lower limbs of football players. Methods: In my work I used methods of measurement and comparison. The measurements were made on the leg press and the Cybex dynamometer. On the leg press, the maximum force was examined and the Cybex dynamometer measured flexing and extension of knee joint at different speeds. Comparison of results was done in Excel using Person's correlation coefficient. Results: My first hypothesis that leg-press results will correlate with Cybex results has been confirmed at higher speeds. This fact was confirmed in other studies with similar research. The second hypothesis was based on the relationship of the h / q ratio and its correlation with the results achieved on the Cybex dynamometer. This hypothesis was not confirmed and the values achieved were very low. Key words: Strength capabilities, leg-press, Cybex, repetition maximum
The comparison and identification of strength abilities among elite footballers depending on ontogenesis
Kroupa, Jakub ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: The comparison and identification of strength abilities among elite footballers depending on ontogenesis. Objectives: The aim of this work is to compare the explosive power of the lower limbs and the isokinetic power of the knee extensor and knee flexor of elite football players in cathegories U16, U18 and U21 of the club SK Slavia Praha. Method: Our work is based on using the comparative method. The respective method of comparison is used in the section related to results., in which we compare the achieved strenght abilities of each category in the vertical jump tests and the isokinetic dynamometer tests. The research team were young players (n46) from three age-old categories U16 (15 players), U19 (17 players) and U21 (14 players). The results: The result of the study is a finding that the performance of the individual categories in the vertical jump tests within the maximum power achieved is very balanced, but the best average results in the maximum height were found at U21 team. The order of the individual categories is not the same as the maximum height achieved in the vertical jump. Another finding is that for U21 players compared to younger categories, we observe weaker achievements with greater performance differences between between the muscle groups of flexor and the knee...

Trýzna, Jakub ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: The impact of speed during isocinetic contraction for strength ratios of m. quadriceps to hamstrings in youth soccer players U15-19 Objectives: The objectives of this bachelor thesis is to find out a relative strength ratios of m. quadriceps to hamtrings of both lowr limbs by means of isocinetic dynamometry using a Cybex device. Methotds: Isocinetic dynamometry was used for an assignmnent of strength abilities using a Cybex device. Agility tests were used for an assignment of speed. Results: H/Q strength ratios were icreased with icreasing angular speed. Muscular strength itself decreased by increasing speed of muscular contraction both in flexion and extensit. Keywords: Peak torque, izocinetic dynamometry, soccer, training
Influence of acceleration abilities on performance in agility tests (speed of change of direction of movement)
Hrubý, Jakub ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Name: Influence of acceleration abilities on performance in agility tests (speed of change of direction of movement) Objectives: The main goal of this work is to determine the level of agility performance with acceleration and maximum speed for football players of different age categories. Methods: To solve the problem, I used a correlation analysis. The first measurement was acceleration and peak speed measurement using photocells. The second measurement was focused on performance in change of direction speed. The resulting data from photocell measurements was processed using IBM SPSS statistics 22 and Microsoft Excel. Results: I have found that the greatest impact of the selected COD's tests has an illinois test at r = 0.596 with an almost 100% connection on the acceleration, maximum speed for 16- 17 year old footballers. In addition, it was found that the 505 test had the best connection with the AR_5 test, r = 0.418 with almost 100% acceleration related. The third best result was the arrowhead test, which got r = 0.301, a small correlation value with 90% of the acceleration and maximum speed. The worst result was found in the hexagon test, which had negative r values, ie, an absolutely insignificant correlation. Keywords: football, fitness, speed, COD's, agility, performance structure
