Influence of laterality in somatognostic functions of floorball players
Žarković, Dragana ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
! Title of thesis : Influence of laterality in somatognostic functions of floorball players Demarcation of the issue : This thesis is dedicated to the influence of laterality in somatognostic functions of floorball players and it rates relation between these two phenomenons. It is a first research in this branch and sport, also, it informs about the coherence of these two phenomenons, from the point of view as a cause of sports injuries and also as a prevention of sports injuries. Justification : Athletes get injured frequently in many different situations. Often, we are dealing with an injury as a consequence, but not the real cause. Physical therapist should get oriented in this problematics to be more effective in the healing process of the athlete. To avoid such problems in adulthood, we should be more focused on the prevention just at the beginning of a sports career of a small athlete. No matter what sports level the athlete had achieved, we are focusing especially in one-sided sport activities. Aim of the thesis : The aim of thesis is to find out any coherence of the effect of one-sided sports, as floorball, to somatognostic functions of players at the age between 6 - 14 years old. Methodology of the thesis : Research is created in a form of descriptive - associative academic method. It is...

Mažárová, Silvia ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Influence of defined olfactory stimuli to selected physiological parameters Objectives: Comparing the effect of inhibiting and stimulating scents on the chosen physiological parameters during a 20 minute long inhalation. The thesis is searching for the possible affections to cardiovascular system and to reactibility of the neuromuscular system of the aromatherapy. Methods: 10 individuals participated on the trial, 5 females and 5 male. As the inhibiting scent we chose essential oil of Lavandula angustifolia and as the stimulating scent Rosmarinus officinalis. The observed physiological parameters was heart rate, blood pressure, present emotional state using the Visual Analogue Mood Scale by Stern, results of the Petries' test and standing on two scales test. The chosen application form of the essential oils was inhalation. The observed parameters were recorded before the application of scents, in the 10th and 20th minute of the application and 20 minutes after the end of application. We used the method of comparison. With statistical analysis we compared the results of the mentioned tests and diagnostic methods before and after application each of the odors. Results: We consider that Lavandula angustifolia and Rosmarinus officinalis have statistically significant effect to cardiovascular...
Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after reconsruction of anterior cruciate ligament
Vasiliou, Rafael Alexandros ; Vláčilová, Ivana (advisor) ; Mahr, Edwin (referee)
1 Abstract Title: Case study of diagnosis of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction Author: RafaelAlexandros Vasiliou In this Bachelor Thesis I analyzed the anatomy of the knee joint including bones, ligaments, muscles and nerves, kinesiology and biomechanics, ACL rupture and its mechanism. I also included some chapters which are related to the ACL rupture like risk factors, prevention and rehabilitation. During the clinical work placement I applied individual therapy to my patient for eight times during two weeks including individual exercise program to the gym. The therapeutic plan was based according to my findings during the first day of meeting when I performed the initial kinesiologic examination. Detailed description of the initial kinesiologic examination and day to day therapy are included to the special part of this Bachelor Thesis. After eight therapy sessions the result was positive with the objective findings to confirm it. The strength of the muscles of the right lower extremity of the patient was improved and the range of motion of the right knee which is the most important was also improved for 20 degrees. More details about the final kinesiologic examination and results are also included to the special part of this Bachelor Thesis. KEY WORDS: Anterior Cruciate Ligament, balance...
Efficiency of cold treatment of locomotive system dysfunctions
Vášková, Mariana ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Efficiency of cold treatment of locomotive system dysfunctions Objectives: The theoretical part should provide an overview of effects of cold on the human organism. The practical part reports a pilot study in which local cryotherapy was applied to painful areas of dysfunctional locomotive system. Methods: After measuring local painfulness using an algometer, the Cryogen 2 device was used for local cryotherapeutic treatment; after the treatment, algometer was used again. Subjective state of the patient was monitored throughout the process. Cryotherapy was applied within normal individual physiotherapeutic treatment to patients of varying age, sex, and locomotive system dysfunctions. Results: We have shown that local cryotherapy, using the Cryogen 2 device, did decrease painfulness in measured areas. Although significant differences in pain perception were found between male and female patients, the efficiency of cryotherapy did not depend on sex. Some correlation was found between treatment efficiency and age. No evidence was found for establishing that repeated application decreases pain perception measured before the next treatment. The results are influenced by a smaller sample of patients and measurements, and by inhomogeneity of patients. Key words: pain treatment, cold, local cryotherapy,...
Effect of core- training on anterior shoulder instability on semiprofessional rugby players
Kieslingová, Anna ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Effect of core training on anterior shoulder instability on semiprofessional rugby players. The concept of the problem: With Rugby Union football being a contact-collision sport there is a high risk of injury incidence, especially for the upper extremities. The anterior shoulder dislocation carries the highest incidence and severity and may frequently lead to an anterior shoulder instability and is therefore a risk factor for decreasing sporting performance. Working with anterior shoulder instability on a complex basis, there are many possibilities to influence this problem and on of them is incorporating a "core-training" program into functional training patterns. In sports, the core provides a foundation upon which muscles of the extremties and their coordination rely. Objectives: To evaluate the incidence of anterior shoulder instability on semiprofessional rugby players and, subsequently, to attest the effectivity of the "core-training" exercise program on anterior shoulder instability of these athletes, on explosive power of the upper extremities and the performance of "medvěd"- an examination of the "Integrated Stabilizing System of the Spine" (HSSP) from Kolář. Methods: The theoretical part follows up the given issue as a research and theoretical overview of the current findings based...

Melicharová, Hana ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: The evaluation of functional sitting stability of paraplegics Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate the functional stability of paraplegics sitting through tests. Another objective is to determine what is the effect of fourteen days rehabilitation intervention on the sitting patients. Methods: Designed experiment was processed by the form of quantitative research. There were 10 pacients with spinal cord injuries, especially paraplegics included - 5 men and 5 women. The history was detected with the main emphasis on assessment ASIA score. Measurement of unsupported upright sitting was done thanks to the Plantograf V09. It records the current pressure distribution and movement of the center of pressure (COP). Functional T - shirt test was evaluated by using a stopwatch. Probands responded two questions about their current condition after rehabilitation after the output measuring. The therapist rating was included in the results. All data were further processed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Results: Measurements confirmed the reliability of both used tests. The t-shirt test can be used as an objective method of assessing functional stability of sitting. Test of unsupported upright sitting measured by Plantografu is also usable. It would be appropriate to set the measuring apparatus...
