Ohlídal, Evžen ; Urban, František (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
The goal of the research in this master’s thesis is an analysis of the current tools used for online marketing including a social networks. Based on these theoretical analyzes specific ways to use online marketing tools of the company XYZ, which is an exklusive distributor of brand Messoa for the Czech and Slovak Republics. Messoa manufactures CCTV and surveillance systems. Work subsequently proposes changes that lead to better effectiveness in the usage of online marketing in company.
The Business Plan for Establishing a Beer Bar in Olomouc
Ohlídal, Evžen ; Urban, František (referee) ; Bumberová, Veronika (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the business plan for establishing a beer bar with Belgian specials in Olomouc. The first part describes the theoretical basis of the work. It is focused on the description of the business idea, methods used for analytical research of the business surroundings, and the structure of the business plan itself. The second part deals with analytical methods mentioned. Based on these methods, appropriate and most suitable strategy is implemented. The third part of the thesis contains a comprehensive elaboration of the business plan, which follows the choice of strategies for this business.
Longitudinal Photonic Structures in Optical Fibres
Urban, František ; Róka,, Rastislav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The focus of the thesis is to analyse the specific ways and the means of preparation of the longitudinal quasi-periodical optical structures of the Bragg grating type made in the fibre waveguides with a scope of forming the fibre diffractive elements for sensorics. Apodized Bragg gratings and their design and preparation based on the overlying of two or more nonidentical uniform structures became the target of the work. The first part presents the Bragg grating theory and the outline of the grating types and features. Further the thesis discusses the important aspects of grating applications in sensors. The ways of sensorial grating optimization and grating evaluation optimization are shown. Chapter 4. shows the impact and properties of the grating apodization. The next part of the thesis spreads and generalises the usage of the Moaré method of apodized gratings preparation. The principles of the generalized method are introduced and its math description based on the multiple nonequal subgratings overlays formulated. The math formulation respects the specifics of the gratings writing by the side exposition of the fibre with the interference pattern of the UV radiation passing through the phase mask, where all the subgratings use the common mask and the fibre stretches and shifts are applied. These principles are applied in optimised designs of nine application specific grating structures using two and three subgratings. Chapter 6. presents the necessary steps for the exposition system to adopt the needs of the generalised Moaré method and shows the results of the experimental works in the preparation of the designed apodized two and three subgrating based structures. The optimized grating structures with high side lobe suppression, structures with sharp central reflectance drop and the structures with flat reflectance maximum are presented.
The Point-by-Point fiber diffraction structures
Valášek, Martin ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
The diploma thesis described the basic principles and characters of the long period fiber gratings (LPFGs). Our concern was to describe basic mathematical description of these gratings needed to their modelation and simulation. Consequently some exact models leading to changes in the shape of the spectrum LPFGs were suggested, these methods were the chirping, apodization and changes in the average refractive index navg. In the Matlab environment, programes for counting the important parametres LPFGs were created and meanwhile each model leading to the change in the shape of the spectrum was simulated.
Simulation of fiber-optic components for fiber optic sensors
Jakoubek, Petr ; Urban, František (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the function of commonly used elements among optical network, with an emphasis on fiber optic sensors. The basics of optical transmission and types of fibers are described, in addition to active and passive optical components, optical splitters and couplers. Optical fiber sensors are divided in two groups: intrinsic and extrinsic. Interferometric types of sensors are described in detail. The thesis compares theoretical assumptions and practical measurements of two serially-connected couplers. A~new module fulfilling real optical coupler function was made using Matlab. This module can be implemented into the VPIphotonics library. Finally, interferometric function of two serially-connected couplers was tested.
Femtosecond lasers and their applications
Oškera, Jakub ; Urban, František (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the definition of a laser, its properties and its use in practise. Work describes the basic principle of laser beam with associated individual laser types and comparison to conventional light radiation source. Next, work focuses on modes of transmission: continuous, pulse, and main differences among them. Next part describes femtosecond lasers and their generating pulses. The work contains theoretical design of measurements used for this particular laser. The theoretical concept is designed for the field of spectroscopy. The thesis mentions the basic methods of spectroscopy: ultravioletvisible, Raman and IR. Part of this work is also focused on WattJoule application software that has been programmed for the use in experimental measurement. This experimental measurement is described in the last part of this bachelor thesis. The purpose of the measurement is an attempt of connection of the laser beam into optical fiber. The conclusion discusses the description and outcome of this experimental measurement.
Analysis and construction of an optical fibre tunable attenuator for telecommunication applications
Prokop, Daniel ; Eliáš, Josef (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This paper deals with the possibilities of designing the module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal. The paper describes basics of ber optic transmission and beam e ects. Variants of attenuation cells are characterized in this paper and based on the ndings a solution of the module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal is proposed. Practical section of the thesis deals with the design and physical construction of module for control of the attenuation of the optical signal using MEMS variable optical attenuator.
Fiber optic spectrometer
Krausová, Petra ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is familiar with the problem of optical spectroscopy. The thesis describes the optical dispersion elements and spectral instruments. A separate chapter is devoted to Fourier spectroscopy, which in turn is based on a new technology SWIFTS described in the next chapter, in which the SWIFTS spectrometers compared with currently used spectral analyzers. The thesis then designs and evaluates experimental measuring which analyzes the detection of longitudinal distribution of radiation intensity in the optical fiber.
