The diploma work focuses on designing an automated machining, finishing and assembly line. Described in the chapters are the current technology of production, suggestions, the choice of a new solution and a technological-economical evaluation including capacitive and costs of running the production line and a comparison with the current technology. The result is proof that the return of the investment is roughly in one third.
Technological parameters of abrasive process
Řehák, Pavel ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (referee) ; Prokop, Jaroslav (advisor)
In this work, there is described an abrasive process including technological terms with an identification of motions and a speed of grinding. Then there are described abrasive tools, their distribution and description. In the last part there are introduced some reached parameters of the accuracy and characteristics of the surface structure in dependence on the length of abrasive process.

Total usage of design dates for CNC programming of turbine casing
Matejková, Monika ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis aims at designing a solution to the comprehensive use of construction underlying documents for the CNC programming of turbine casings. The introductory part of the thesis contains a description of the CNC programming and CAD/CAM systems. The following is mapping of the current state of the construction underlying documents, and mapping of the situation in the department of technology in Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery, s.r.o., Brno. The further section presents an analysis of the problem that arose when processing and sharing the construction underlying documents with the aim of streamlining the CNC programming process. The closing part presents the evaluation and conclusions for implementation of the proposed solutions.
Technology cutting on CNC machining centres
Martiňák, Marek ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Prokop, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to prove the mastery of the fundamental principles of technological background processing for CNC machining center CW 800. After studying specialized literature and gaining practical experience while working on the machinery in question, a technological characteristics of machining centres has been compiled, including the technological parameters of the above mentioned CW 800. Based on the sample of a concrete product, a machining technological process of the given part has been designed, including the programme itself. This design can serve as a model sample for generally applicable processing of technological background with other parts as well, on the basis of the submitted drawing documentation.
Generators for renewable energy
Prokop, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of generators, which will use alternative sources of energy instead of fossil fuels. The work is focusing on mechanical energy conversion. Introductory part of the text summarizes the requirements on the generator, properties and parameters of appliances, which will be connected to the generator, and finally the selection of suitable alternative fuels. Main part describes the process of a prototype realization. Individual parts of the device have been manufactured from a simplified technical documentation and sketches in the machine shops of the Secondary School of Electrotechnical Engineering on Trnkova street, and from these parts a functional generator prototype has been assembled. This prototype consists of two separate parts: a propulsion unit and an alternator with accessories, including appliances. On this prototype an efficiency measurement has also been carried out. Furthermore, the work includes animations of device functions created in modeling program SolidWorks 2012. Prototypes are based on a known principle of a steam engine and, at the request of the above-mentioned school, have been adapter into a visual teaching aid. The advantage of those prototypes lies in their inexpensive and simple construction, which utilizes commonly available materials. The device works on maintenance-free principle, there is only the necessity of occasional greasing for a fluent running. In conclusion are briefly reviewed the investment and operating costs of the generator.
Economical analysis of a cutting tool
Bilavčík, Jaromír ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Prokop, Jaroslav (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis on ”Economic analysis of cutting tools“ is devoted to economic analysis the costs of acquisition and use of different types of cutting tools, whose use has a significant influence on the economy of production and, inter alia with the costs related to the quality of the final product. Analysis of the applicability of utility properties of instruments that are used in the mechanical machining was analyzed economically advantageous for the company. This criterion must take account of the company when the production technology. Another decision-making criteria should be the final product quality. For firms pursuing the cost of quality throughout the production cycle is of course due to classical periodic sharpening cutting tools - knives, it is preferable to use instruments with tip.
Optimization of Methods for Manufacturing Wormshafts
Černý, Michal ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the optimization of the production wormshaft under specific conditions in a particular company. The optimization was requested by firm as a solution in the areas which are defined by content of this thesis. In first part, the technology of the product manufacture is evaluated. Next analysis of the original production technology is performed the regarding rationalization explained later, proposing a new form of manufacturing process. In the following parts layout variants of workplaces are assembled. These variants are based on the newly designed technology. The final part presents a control jig, which will be used in quality assurance and manufacturing workplaces and allows to measure various type of wormshaft parts. In the discussion section there is a proposal of another possible solution for manufacturing optimization these key components that make up assembly control gearbox of valves and ball valves.
Advanced methods of surface topography evaluation
Metelková, Jitka ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This paper provides an overview of contemporary methods for evaluation of the part surface, nowadays measurement devices and evaluated parameters. The main part of the paper is devoted to advanced methods of surface topography evaluations including the application of the new non-contact measurement technique Alicona G4. The experimental part deals mainly with a study of surface texture parameters of the machined aluminium alloy AlCu4MgSi when face turning. It concerns mostly a study of the tool feed rate influence (the uncoated insert GIPA-6.00-3.00, ISO 513 N05-N25, Iscar) on selected profile and surface parameters, including comparison of measurement results achieved by the contact (Form Talysurf Intra 50, Taylor Hobson) and non-contact method (IFM G4, Alicona).
Analysis of effects of short-circuit current in switchgear cabinet
Prokop, Jan ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focusing on dynamic effects of short-circuit currents, more precisely dynamic effects of short-circuit currents on switchgear cabinet (terminal box). The work was designated to a concrete construction type of two switchgear cabinets located on rotating machines via company Siemens Electric Machines Drásov s.r.o.. The switchgear cabinets are designed for non-explosive environment where the air is used as an insulating medium. The task was to determine how the device will behave during the three-phase short-circuit and three-phase short-circuit with earth/ground connection. The following programs were used for the calculations and simulations: Ansoft Maxwell 16.0, Ansoft Maxwell 2015 and ANSYS Workbench 16.0. By using these programs the effects of forces which acts on current paths in cabinet caused by the passage of short-circuit current were simulated, statically and also dynamically. Further the effects of pressure acting on cabinet frame during the arc short-circuit have been statically and dynamically simulated. All the results are summarized in the conclusion. Conclusion also contains the final evaluation of the functionality of both switchgear cabinets.
