Quality of life of people after transtibial amputation

Title: Quality of life of people after transtibial amputation Objective: The aim of this thesis was to survey and assess the level of quality of life of adults after transtibial amputation. The aim was to get as much information as possible from the affected individuals through anonymous questionnaires. Two points of view were discussed. The first point of view was of personal satisfaction emerging from personal experiences, such as pain, sleep, orfor examplejob performance opportunities. The second point of view was of influence of another person, such as prosthetists, on people's quality of life. Methods: The bachelor thesis is conducted as an empirical quantitative research. The basis of the theoretical part is a literature research. In terms of methodology, a survey was applied. To gain the necessary data an anonymous questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF (short version) was used. This questionnaire inquires how the interviewee perceive their quality of life, health and other life areas. The questionnaire was distributed to prosthetic workplaces where employees purposefully handed these over to patients after transtibial amputation. Title: Use of dynamic splints for tendon injuries of the hand. Problem: There is a lack of complex information on methods and procedures of dynamic splint production in the Czech Republic . Aim: This thesis provides a complex overview of current possibilites in the area of tendon injury treatment. It also explores various procedures of production and application of dynamic splints. Methodology: The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains a research. The practical one consists of a appropriate dynamic and night splint designs and production procedures. Methods of qualitative research in terms of collection, and secondary data analysis of scientific articles are used. Title: Transfemoral prosthesis, construction types of sockets Objectives: The aim of this work is to create a comprehensive view of the thigh amputation issue and a subsequent rehabilitation and prosthetic care. The main objective is to compare the different types of sockets. In conclusion, I would like to describe the manufacturing process of scanning measurement data for the socket production. Methods: The basis for the writing of the thesis is a literature review. I also used the knowledge gained in seminars organized by professional firms. For a complete information obtained I used a method of an informal interviews with experts. Results: I believe that the anatomical socket allows better comfort for the patient. The influence of individual orthoses on ulcer healing in diabetic foot syndrome

Title: The influence of individual orthoses on ulcer healing in diabetic foot syndrome Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of individual braces and confirm or refute the suitability of these tools for diabetics with diabetic foot syndrome on the basis of statistical evaluation. Methods: This study is a theoretical and empirical, quantitative research was used in the form of a retrospective monitoring during treatment of patients with individual orthoses. Further observations conducted participated. Participated observation was made as a collaboration with orthotics, from which he was readmitted systematically collected data for statistical processing and ran with it professional consultation. It is an analysis of the data for the period of one year (2013) and their comparison. I used data from a file made of 32 patients using individual brace. Age and gender were not her concern. Results: The aim of this work was to gather feedback for doctors and orthotics, who are dedicated to patients with diabetic foot syndrome and defects in them. Title: Methodology of gait school of a patient with transtibial amputation Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to give a comprehensive overview of methodology of the gait school from the prosthetic and rehabilitation care perspective of patient with transtibial amputation. This work includes the methods, procedures and practices to ensure successful work with the patient and their return and participation in everyday life. Methods: A qualitative research was used together with method of data collection, informal interview with an expert and participating observation. Results: The methodology of gait school is necessary for proper use and wearing prosthetic device. It positively influences the life of a patient with a transtibial amputation. In conclusion of this thesis is proven the crucial importance of starting with the methodology of gait school as soon as possible. Title: Orthotic equipment of idiopathic scoliosis Objectives: The aim of my work is a summary of information dealing with scoliosis of the spine. In the beginning of the theoretical part I will briefly explain the anatomy and biomechanics of the spine, which are necessary for understanding. In the chapter on scoliosis I will focus on treatment, both operational and fuselage orthoses , which I will detaily describe in the next section. I will bring all types ortheses for the treatment of scoliosis and I will focus primarily on the production process , application, negative and positive effects of conservative treatment. The practical part of the drafting case reports about patients affected by idiopathic scoliosis and to points out their orthotic equipment. In conclusion, I evaluate scoliosis treatment method using ortheses. Methods: To solve this problem I will apply the method of collecting data from the literature , magazines and publications related mainly to general issues of scoliosis.
