Index Suitable for Similar Search in High-dimensional Spaces
Krejčová, Martina ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
In this paper, we focus on indexing and searching in high-dimensional data. To achieve the target we implemented the Metric Index, a model of the similarity search based on the metric spaces, that employs many of known principles of partitioning and filtering. The metric space is a general model of similarity, which enables the usage of implemented index for various data. With this index, stored data could be searched effectively. The internal structure of data is hidden, we just require an implementation of the function for feature extraction, which produces a vector representing data, and the metric function applicable to the given data. The Metric Index was implemented as a data cartridge, the mechanism for extending the capabilities of the Oracle server. This data cartridge enables indexing of large unstructured data in the Oracle server known as LOBs.
A tool for testing of algorithms for learning languages
Krejčová, Martina ; Kukačka, Marek (referee) ; Hoffmann, Petr (advisor)
Goal of this work was to develop a tool for testing algorithms of grammatical inference of context-free languages. Grammatical inference is a process of learning of grammars and languages from data. Learning could mean finding a suitable model that describes data. Due to this model we could for instance compress this data, create new data or find out which data are consistent with this model. The model in our tool is context-free grammar. We describe how to generate the context-free grammar and data from which the algorithm can try to learn the language of this grammar. The problem of context-free grammar complexity was solved in order to evaluate success achieved by an algorithm in different learning tasks. Also some alternatives of evaluating success of an algorithm are described. This tool is also useful to create data for publishing results of the algorithm.
The development of graphomotor skills in preschool children through art activities
KREJČOVÁ, Martina
This thesis deals with graphomotor skills in preschool children and their development. The aim is to capture the level graphomotor skills at a selected group of children before they start attending school and its development through creative activities. The theoretical part of the thesis characteristics of preschool age child focused on the development of graphomotor skills. Furthermore, the importance and development of children's drawings, working and hygienic habits in drawing and writing. The practical part deals with the level of graphmotor selected group of children before and after work with established worksheets. Examines the appropriateness of methodological materials for preschool children. To implement research methods are used observation, interview and analysis of diagnostic sheets. From the findings were made conclusions for further practice.
A comparison of the Czech Republic and Switzerland pension schemes
KREJČOVÁ, Martina
The aim of this work is an analysis adjustment of the pension scheme of the Czech Republic and of the way how it is financing in comparison with the pension scheme of the chosen state Switzerland. This country has been chosen intentionally as it has, just as the Czech Republic, three-pillared pension scheme. The result of the comparison is probably the biggest difference between Czech and Swiss pension system is stored in the share of private assets. At the end of this work there are analyzed the potential risks setting pension systems and proposed recommendations.
Client{\crq}s motivation {--} a part of everyday nursing activities
KREJČOVÁ, Martina
If clients are to be motivated, they have to be made desirous of achieving an objective, confident of their abilities, and capable of imagining the possibilities opened up to them after the objective is accomplished. This Bachelor paper aims to find out how the clients of senior-citizen facilities are motivated for self-care. Degenerative changes encountered in seniors often deteriorate their self-care performance. The older the people get, the more difficult it seems for them to find reasons why they should keep themselves active. A nurse, therefore, has to encourage in them the proper attitude through which the seniors will be able to maintain or even improve their level of self-reliance. This paper is to map the motivation mechanisms at work in the clients of senior-citizen facilities operating in the Region of South Bohemia and to examine the way in which the nurses motivate the clients for self-care and self-reliance. The data were generated through a qualitative survey of two different non-standardized types of interviews. The first type of interview was carried out with nurses working at the nursing homes at Kaplice, Máj and a senior-citizen facility of the Staroměstská Center of Social Services. The second type of interview was conducted with randomly selected clients of the facilities. The survey revealed the way in which the nurses motivated the clients for self-care, as well as the motives, both personal and factual, behind such efforts encountered in the clients. Moreover, the nurses` attitudes were investigated about how the nursing process could be used to motivate the clients for self-care, and the clients` needs were examined as they related to the self-care motivation induced by the nursing process. Conclusions of the paper can provide a source of information for both managers of the facilities and the nurses delivering the care. Future investigation should seek a method in which the nursing process can better motivate the clients for self-care, and possibly it should focus on the nursing documentation. Nurses providing care at the senior-citizen facilities strive to motivate the clients to resume their self-assistance capabilities and keep the capabilities workable. The clients appreciate their efforts.
