The Financial Literacy at the First Grade of Elementary Schools
Plichtová, Radka ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Kuřík Sukniak, Anna (referee)
This diploma thesis describes current situation of teaching of financial literacy in elementary schools and suggests certain changes. It also presents educational approach within this issue. In the theoretical part it describes conclusions in the field of financial literacy in RVP ZV and in ŠVP of two chosen schools. It proposes particular outcomes of financial literacy in each grade of elementary schools, which could be included in the RVP ZV with its revision, also possibly could used by the teachers for creating thematic schedules or for scheduling the lessons. For each outcome there is an option added how to implement it with the pupils in a form of working with textbooks or other related publications, or through a model situation with presumed development and teacher's commentary. In the practical part it offers verification of some of the suggested activities and description of interesting phenomena, which occured during the testings. KEYWORDS financial literacy, shopping and paying, household economy, loans and savings, didactic situations from real environment, pupil of a younger school age

Comparing methods of mathematics teaching with a focus on geometry
Stříbrná, Eliška ; Tůmová, Veronika (advisor) ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to observe, characterize ale reflect two well-known methods of teaching mathematics - so-called classical method and method according to professor Hejný, on the example of two second grade class teachers of elementary school with a focus on geometry. In the theoretical part I list several research works concerning class room observation. I use these to set up methodology of my own research. Moreover, the methods are characterized according to the literature and the analysis of the textbooks. Also the outputs of the Framework Education Programme (in Czech "Rámcový vzdělávací program") are presented in this theoretical part. I use these outputs to evaluate whether the method leads students to what they should know. The practical part consists of observing lessons of two teachers, my own teaching experience in the given classes and final questionnaire for students. Data collected from these observations are analysed with the help of qualitative and quantitative methods. The representative of the so-called classical method put emphasis on repetition and system. He usually asks students questions that require a shorter response. Students do not enjoy the school and geometry that much, but the knowledge results are quite good. The representative of the method according...
The construction of polygons with the didactic aid
Průšová, Adéla ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Havlíčková, Radka (referee)
This thesis deals with construction of polygons with use of a didactic aid a geoboard at primary education. I have done analysis of three series of mathematics books in order to know, if they include possibility of mechanical work during construction of polygons. Based on study of professional literature related to teaching mathematics, mainly geometry at primary education, I have created patterns that can be used altogether with geoboard in mathematics. The patterns had been used in three classes thank to this I could have assess their practical use. Then I have corrected wrong instruction of patterns in order to be clear. Next I described three stages of beginning to work with geoboard that I have personally done and that are written in details in protocol. I have concluded didactic potential work with geoboard and theoretical obstacles while geoboard is using.
Propedeutics of cartesian coordinate system and the development of functional thinking of primary school pupils
Ročák, Štěpán ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Pilous, Derek (referee)
This thesis didactically maps and describes new didactical mathematic environment and the possibilities of its application in teaching in the first grade of primary education. In this thesis I describe the process of an experiment conducted with pupils of the 1st - 5th year of elementary school, with whom I have tried and verified a series of new environment exercises. Based on the reflection of this experiment, and the analysis of pupils' solutions, I formulated a final version of these exercises. I led the process of the whole experiment in line with the constructivist educational style. In the theory part, I am mentioning the important terms of mathematics and its didactics, that are necessary for the purposes of this thesis, and that I refer to the relevant professional literature. This thesis also contains the analysis of chosen textbook collections that are related to its topic. The last part of this thesis is the final and complete series of exercises useful for teaching mathematics in the 1st grade of elementary school, especially if the teacher aims to purposefully develop the pupils' understanding of the terminology and relations from the mathematical areas of analytic geometry, functions and sequences.

Division with remainders as a diagnostic tool for studying cognitive skills of Czech pupils
Kotrbatá, Jana ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Kaslová, Michaela (referee)
This thesis deals with the algorithm of division with a remainder in connection with the development of cognitive abilities of Czech pupils. Due to the usual inclusion of this thematic unit (division with a remainder) in the third year of primary school, theoretically focused chapters dedicated to human ontogenesis, with regard to the child's cognitive development and educational system in the Czech Republic, are incorporated. From the thematic perspective, the work analyzes selected comprehensive series of textbooks for first grade of primary school, differentiating the exercises from propaedeutic through an introduction and application to non-standard tasks. Thesis examines the commonalities and differences in the concept of the analyzed textbooks by various authors. One of the criteria is the evaluation of approach to teaching based on identifying elements of constructivism or transmission. Another objective of the work is a research of selected problem-solving strategies of students dealing with tasks comprising division with a remainder. Solution methods were obtained by assigning of diagnostic test to pupils of a first grade of primary school. KEYWORDS division with a remainder, a primary school aged child, cognitive development of a child, teaching styles - transmission, constructivism,...
