Chihiro and the Hero's journey

An analysis of the film ?Spirited Away? by Hayao Miyazaki which uses Carol Pearson's archetypes as its theoretical framework. The essay attempts a definition of the different relations forged by and between the characters of the story. It also tries to understand how Chihiro interacts with her environment. This analysis aims at interpreting Chihiro's experiences through the different stages of the "Heroe's journey".

In this thesis, there is a chronologic description of a basic kinds of a computer games animation and graphic, as they emerged since the birth of first computers till today. Each chapter is devoted to certain technique, and in a simple way outlines its basic principles, that are used to handle graphic and animation data on the screen of computer.

In this paper I crack down on the character of Japonese animated film - anime. The paper is divaded into several chapters, whitch together form a encased unit in a way that fits the chosen topic of my bachelor paper. Every chapter deals with a different aspect, from history to the wordage or artistic utilities of the manga draughtsmen. This paper is not dedicated only to animators, who would like to expend their knowledge, but also to outsiders, who are just interested in this specific and outstanding form of art.
