Evaluation of selected motor tests and anthropometric indicators in young swimmers
Oplištilová, Tereza ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Pokorná, Jitka (referee)
Title: Evaluation of selected motor tests and anthropometric indicators in young swimmers Objectives: The purpose of the diploma thesis is to evaluate selected motor tests and determine the level of selected anthropometric, explosive and strength endurance indicators in young swimmers aged 8 to 15 years, for which we compare whether and to what extent they influence each other. Methods: Data collection was performed by direct measurements in laboratories where somatic and conditioning parameters were measured. The data obtained by testing were processed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Office Excel 2016. Summary tables and scatter plots were chosen for a clear representation of the data. Results: A total of 17 children aged 8 to 15 years of both sexes were included in the testing, which were divided by grade into group A (2008-2010) and group B (2011-2012). Based on the results, it was found that the arm span is closely related to the body height of the proband. The mean body height (group A-160.5 cm) and (group B-150.8 cm) were almost identical to the average arm span of these groups (group A-159.9 cm) and (group B-150.3 cm). In all probands, the laterality of the right arm was confirmed, and based on this finding, we found a link between laterality, stroke performance and force of...

The influence of feedback to improve freestyle techniques in children's categories 6 - 9 years old
Lachman, Ondřej ; Čechovská, Irena (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: The influence of feedback to improve freestyle techniques in children's categories 6 - 9 years old Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effect of feedback to improve freestyle swimming techniques in children's categories 6 - 9 years. Methods: In this work, we used the methods of observation, expert assessment and analysis of video recordings in the training pool. To compare the effect of feedback on improving techniques be taught in groups monitored identical in content. Results: The results of our study show that the subsequent feedback through videos and verbal description has a positive influence on changing a crawl technique in children's categories 6 - 9 years. Key words: swimming, front crawl stroke, children swimming technique, analysis of videotapes
Dry land training of swimmers in the age group 13-14 years
Zenáhlík, Aleš ; Pokorná, Jitka (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: Dry land training of swimmers in the age group 13-14 years Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out and to specialize the content of the dryland swimming training during basic swimming training. Due to different demand on focus on preparation of the swimmers on dryland in different phases of the training, the survey fixed its attention on swimmers aged 13-14 years. The research was conducted in swimming clubs with their sports activity in Prague and Central Bohemian region. Methods: The main method of the research was using a self-report questionnaire. To evaluate the research data, the methods of analysis and comparison were used. The sectorial analysis was applied to the subentries with help of the graph showing. One used the method of comparison to compare the acquired data in the given regions of the Czech Republic. Results: Despite some differences between Prague and the Central Bohemia results suggest that three quarters of the surveyed swimming clubs realize dry land training for 13-14 year old swimmers in the range of 1-2 hours per week with the most common subsidies of between 45-60 minutes before swimming training in a swimming pool complex areas, or even off-campus swimming pool. Personnel is mostly preparation for drought secured a coach with swimming qualifying...
Didactic interaction between teacher and child in preparatory swimming
Hubená, Kristýna ; Čechovská, Irena (advisor) ; Jurák, Daniel (referee)
Title: Didactic interaction between teacher and child in preparatory swimming lessons. Objects: The object of this thesis was to describe and analyze the interaction profiles of two kindergarten teachers. Both teachers have many years of teaching experience of preparatory swimming lessons with children 3 to 4 years old. At the same time the aim was to contribute to the objectification of ideas about the specific didactic interaction in the physical learning in the water. Methods: The method of participant observation of two kindergarten teachers with many years of teaching experience was used at this thesis. The data collection was realized by taking a video. Processing and evaluating of the video followed using a modified analysis of didactic interaction method. The method of questioning was also used for the observed teachers. Results: According to our results the most common form of behavior of two selected teachers during the lessons was instruction. The most common of one of our selected teacher was using notification. The other teacher was using feedback and participation the most often. According to the content of didactic interaction dominated learning activities in all analyzed videos. The organization activities were evaluated by the program of modified analysis of didactic interaction as...
Testing of maximal heart rate in swimming flume
Hubička, Tomáš ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (referee)
Title: Testing of maximal heart rate in a swimming flume Objectives: Pilot study using the methodology for testing the maximum heart rate in swimming flume, functioning as a swimming trainer. An alternative method for determining maximum heart rate by each swimmer. Methods: Due to the basis of the pilot study, a methodology for heart rate max. testing was created. A sample of probands was chosen to study Physical Education and Sport of the students who are former or still active swimmers. A sporttester was used to detect a heart rate. Data processing was made by Polar Precision Performance programe. For the submaximal swimmer speed detection probands went through a CSS test. Speed obtained from this test was further used for warming of probands before the graded strain test started up to the maximal heart rate of probands. Results: By the CSS test is obtained the individual speed of swimming at the ANP level of each of the probands in meters per second. This was further used as the speed for warming in the graded test up to the maximal heart rate of probands. The results are showing that four of six probands reached the maximum heart rate level in comparison with a theoretical calculation of the maximum heart rate. Key words: swimming flume, swimming speed, maximum heart rate, Critical Swim Speed,...
The aplication of CSS in swimming flume
Cagaň, Štěpán ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (referee)
Title: Application of CSS (Critical Swimming Speed) in the swimming flume. Objectives: Purpose of our pilot study was to find out, if load during swimming on speed of anaerobic threshold in the flume on level validated by accredited workplace corresponds with load during swimming in the swimming pool. Methods: For verification of our purpose, for each proband we first determined speed of anaerobic threshold, using Critical Swimming Speed protocol. Subsequently we monitored values of blood lactate and heart rate during swimming on anaerobic threshold speed level in the pool and thereafter in the flume. We have compared measured values. Results: We found out, that load in the flume is much lower, than load in the pool. We also found out, that stream of water in flume is not constant. Keywords: flume, swimming, swimming simulator, lactate, front crawl stroke, critical swimming speed
