Possibilities of integration of the Western Balkans into the EU

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the future prospects for membership of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union. Western Balkan includes the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The main objective of the first chapter is to define the mutual relations between the European Union and the Western Balkan countries, according to their past results since the end of the Cold far until present. The second chapter explains the main features of the political and economic situation in the Western Balkans and the enlargement policy of the European Union. Emphasis was put on the Copenhagen criteria and on some of the main components of the Stabilization and Association Process, such as Stabilization and Association Agreements and EU pre-accession assistance to the Western Balkans. The last chapter deals with the future development and the possibilities for membership of the Western Balkan countries in the EU, based on the evaluation of the results which were achieved by the Western Balkan countries according to the latest European Commission progress report.

Cílem práce je představit společenskou odpovědnost jako cestu k udržitelnému růstu. Jednotlivé části pojednávají o zainteresovaných skupinách, důvodech pro společenskou odpovědnost. V práci dále srovnávám společenskou odpovědnost v postkomunistických zemích a v zemích EU, zabývám se problematikou měřitelnosti odpovědnosti a přímých zahraničních investic.
Purchasing Power Parity in Transition Economies

The goal of this diploma thesis is to assess purchasing power parity (PPP) under the conditions of transition process. The thesis provides a survey of the purchasing power parity theory and concentrates on the relative version. It outlines main causes of possible deviations and modifications of the model. In the empirical part four transition economies are tested for the PPP theory: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The diploma thesis concludes with analysis of the role of the exchange rate under conditions of a small open economy. The overall analysis is implemented within the context of real and nominal convergence towards European Union and future accession to the European Monetary Union.
Problems of globally created communication campaigns and their usage on local markets

Práce se zabývá problematikou globálně vyvářených komunikačních kampaní a jejich následnou adaptaci na lokální trhy. Toto téma zkoumá z hlediska kulturních odlišností, jazykových bariér a geografických podmínek. Nabízí strategický postup tvorby kampaní, které budou používány na více trzích a také postup jejich adaptace. Problém nachází v nemožnosti dát jasnou odpověď na to, zda kampaně obecně vzato přizpůsobovat lokálním podmínkám, či nikoliv. Konstatuje, že rozhodnutí je potřebné učinit na podnikové úrovni, ve vztahu k marketingové a komunikační strategii.
