How to measure the effectiveness of development project? Attempt No. 1: The project KINDERGARTENS 2009, Namibia - Keetmanshoop
ŠŤASTNÁ, Veronika
The aim of thesis is to evaluate the project, which I started implementing in the South of Namibia last year, by OECD Evaluation Manual. The project, namely KINDERGARTENS 2009, Namibia {--} Keetmanshoop, deals with the pre-school educational network in the southern regional town Keetmanshoop, where I was working as a volunteer for Czech non-governmental organisation People In Need for six months. The project has provided local kindergarten teachers with technical assistance within the framework of one project, which is being implemented by organisation People In Need. The theoretical part is predominantly consisted of topics, which are relevant to own evaluation process {--} the socio-economic structure of Namibia, its development and policy educational context and lastly, accurate description of OECD evaluation handbook. At the beginning of this part I provide a general overview of development assistance and its official forms to readers. Then, the research part represents the evaluation report. It includes its own objectives, methodology and conclusions. The project is measured in terms of goals and changes accomplished. As a result, I am able to assess whether the project has been effective and its impact on national educational policy. The final part of evaluation is directed towards the question of project sustainability and recommendations and lessons learned for contingent users.
Diagnostics and rehabilitation of the top and lower cross syndrome for football players - youth team category
ŠŤASTNÁ, Veronika
The topic of the theoretical part of this thesis are the disorders of body posture and one-sided muscle load, that can cause muscle imbalance. I focused mainly on the diagnosis of {\clq}qthe upper and lower crossed syndrome`` in young football players. First I performed an initial test with all the subjects. Then they all participated in a compensatory excercise programme, to strenghten and stretch muscles involved in the development of the above stated syndromes. From the results of the final test I made a conclusion, that a proper excercise programme can compensate a one-sided muscle load and thus prevent the development of muscle imbalance. Such a programme should be part of every training in order to prevent one-sided overload and subsequent disorders of body posture.
The development of the eGovernment and information and communication technology in Public Administration and their imapct on buseness entities and the citizens of the Czech republic
Šťastná, Veronika ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Kratochvílová, Martina (referee)
Introducing electronic devices into Public Administration is a long-term process that has begun in the Czech Republic in 1990. Until the present day, a number of measures to support the advancement of Electronic Public Administration has been made. The basic changes were also made in the legislative framework, the Offices of Public Administration, and, in accordance with the strategies of the European Union, some strategic documents have been passed. All these steps have impacted Czech society, the relationship between the citizens, companies and Public Administration. In this Thesis I would like to define the causality between introducing electronic devices and subjects in the Czech Republic and at the end of the Thesis I would point out the impact of the changes on the concrete course of Public Administration. To achieve this goal I am going to use the analytical methods, the ratio analysis that explores the dependencies between the two phenomena, and casual analysis that is focused on the research of phenomena causes. The currently available data shall be used as evaluation input.
