Diagnostic of semiconductor materials by EBIC method
Kuznetsov, Vitalii ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Čudek, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the diagnostics of semiconductor materials by the EBIC method (beam induced current measurement) using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The thesis describes the principle of operation of the scanning electron microscope, explains the interaction of electrons with a solid substance and the EBIC method. The principle of electrical conductivity of semiconductors is also explained in the theoretical part. Using the EBIC method, the lifetime and diffusion length of minority carriers in semiconductors can be investigated, which is what the practical part of the work is focused on.
Design of a PV plant for a family house
Kalousek, Stanislav ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Jandová, Kristýna (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a photovoltaic power plant in combination with a heat pump for a family house. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a detailed analysis and analysis of currently used photovoltaic and heat pump technologies with the use of possible government subsidy programs. Furthermore, the practical part describes the layout of the family house for which both systems are proposed. Based on the knowledge gained, the design of the heat pump and photovoltaic power plant is proposed, including a system for the storage of electrical energy or the sale of surplus to the distribution grid. In addition, a simulation of the operation of the PV power plant is performed in the professional design environment PV*Sol Premium, including a 3D model, module shading, economic and energy analysis of the PV power plant design. Finally, an evaluation of the combination of a PV plant with a heat pump and a comparison with a commercial design from a professional PV and HP installation company is made.
Design of a photovoltaic power plant for a family house in Opava region
Pekárek, Marek ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis covers the design of a photovoltaic power plant with battery storage for a family house. In the theoretical part is mentioned principles of photovoltaic effect and the function of photovoltaic cells. The work deals with the description of the photovoltaic panels and entire systems of photovoltaic power plant used nowadays. Theses includes informations on legislative conditions and available subsidies related to the installation of photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic. In next part of the thesis, I focus on the design of a photovoltaic power plant for a selected family house with a measured annual energy consumption. The system design methodology includes calculation of the required power output of the plant, selection of the appropriate panel placement, component selection, and design of electrical wiring. The work also includes an economic analysis and a calculation of the return on investment, considering the available energy products from energy suppliers in the Czech Republic.
Solar irrigation design for a tropical greenhouse
Straňák, Rastislav ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Jandová, Kristýna (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to create a solar irrigation system for a tropical greenhouse under the organization Lužánky – středisko volného času. The work initially focuses on examining the current state of the greenhouse as well as various possibilities for its automation in relation to generating electricity from renewable sources. The proposed device, consisting of an integrated circuit board, is powered by a solar panel and includes external peripherals such as artificial lighting and mist irrigation. The thesis also includes testing the functionality of individual electrical circuits, the complete device in the greenhouse, as well as its impact on climatic conditions.
Analyses of properties of photovoltaic inverters
Melichařík, Martin ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with photovoltaic systems with a focus on photovoltaic inverters. Solinteg, a company with a growing clientele, needs to set up a workstation to analyse PV inverters and systems at their branch in Brno for the European market. There are different types of system using different inverters and so the analysis for a particular system or inverter may be different. For a thorough analysis of these systems, special laboratory equipment is required, such as special power supplies and loads to simulate fault or operating conditions, complemented by measurement tools such as a power analyzer.
Determination of climatic factor on the degradation of various solar cells types
Peroutka, Tomáš ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
In this work are discussed photovoltaic cells. There are also discussed basic concepts of radiation source for solar cells. Also mentioned the issue of semiconductors and even the history and evolution of the solar cells. A large part deals with possibilities of photovoltaic cells degradation. In one chapter is an attempt to bring some types of photovoltaic cells and a description of the production of these modules. The practical part deals with photovoltaic modules degradation and its evaluation. Following part compares measured values with the values provided by producer of photovoltaic modules.
Degradation of Photovoltaic Modules
Poledník, Tomáš ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor diploma thesis is focused on the constructional technology of the solar modules as well as on the problems of the induced degradation under the influence of the potential. It specifies the key issues and possible elements that influence the effect of environment with regard to possible causes of the origin of degeneration. The thesis includes the description of measuring of the polycrystalline and monocrystalline technologies that are resistant to the leading potential. Furthemore, the measuring was carried out on the chosen testing pieces that had been affected by the degradation of the output
Analyse of photovoltaic solar cells by the photoluminescence method
Baura, Tomáš ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of solar cells by photoluminescence method. Photoluminescence method is based on the excitation of luminescence radiation of the solar cell material by an external excitation light source. This method can detect various types of defects in the material solar cells. The main objective is the design and realization of a measuring system defects of solar cells, which is based on this method. For excitation of luminescence is used LED array. For the detection of luminescence is used CCD camera with IR optical filter. To filter out the excitation light radiation is used disc screen and optical interrupter. The parameters and options of this measuring system are verified and characterized by test measuring for example the achievable rotation speed of screen and response of optical interrupter. At the end is tested detection of luminescence radiation of solar cells in the measuring system. The measured images are compared with the method of electroluminescence.
