Author: Kristýna Vítečková Title: A case study of physiotherapy care of a patient with transfemoral amputation Objectives: The objective of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate on theoretical knowledge about transfemoral amputation and to record the effect of the selected treatments in a case study of physiotherapy care. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The general part contains information about transfemoral amputation in the form of a literature research. The special part is in the form of a case study of a patient with the given diagnosis, which was done as part of a clinical work placement at Rehabilitační klinika Malvazinky. This part includes the anamnesis, initial assessment, short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, record of the course of therapy, final assessment and evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The physiotherapeutic care resulted in a qualitative improvement of the gait pattern, improved functional ability and reduction of hip pain. Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement

Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement Aims: The aim of this thesis is to provide a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of a total hip replacement which had been preceded by hip dysplasia. Methods: Examination techniques and methods, which are taught at the bachelor's degree level at FTVS UK were used within this case study observed at the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic in Prague. As part of the patient's treatment the medical history was established and an initinal kinesiological analysis was performed, based on which the aims of the following therapy were determined. The therapy consisted of sort tissue techniques, joint play mobilization, individual kinesiotherapy and locomotion training. Emphasis was also placed on autotherapy. At the end of the treatment, a final kinesiological analysis was performed after which the effect of the therapy was evaluated. Results: During the treatment the swelling of the lower left leg and of the surroundings of the surgical wound dissipated. The pain of the operated joint and the left thigh alleviated. The range of motion of the left hip and knee increased. There was an increase in muscle strength of the weakened muscles and the joint play was restored....

Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis bilateral amputation below knee

Title of the thesis: Casuistry of physiotherapy treatment of patient with the diagnosis of bilateral amputation below knee Objectives: The main objective of this casuistry is framework and summary of theoretical and practical knowledge of bilateral limb amputation and processing of case report of patient with defined diagnosis. Methods of the thesis: Bachelor thesis consists from two parts. The general and special. The General part includes the knowledge related with amputations and prosthesis of lower limbs, therapeutic methods and rehabilitation of patients with an amputated extremity. The Special part includes casuistry of patient with diagnosis of bilateral amputation below knee. It also contains complex kinesiological evaluation, therapy and final evaluation of therapy effect. Results: Patient casuistry was process in one month period at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky. Title: Case study of a Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Unilateral Above - Knee Amputation Aim: The aim of the thesis is to summarize theoretical knowledge about amputations and their rehabilitation and to process a case study of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above - knee amputation. Method: The general part of the thesis deals with the issue of amputation of the lower limb and its prosthetic possibilities. It contains summary of fundamental information needed to understand the problematics, basics of prosthetics and usual rehabilitation process. The special part consists of a complete case study of the patient with a diagnosis of unilateral transfemoral amputation. The case study was developed within the study practice at the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic. Results: The physiotherapeutic treatment described in the special part of the study contributed to the improvement of patient's condition.
