The content of the bachelor thesis involves the design of project documentation for a family house at the stage of building permit. The house is designed as a two-generation house for grandparents and a family of four. The building is situated on a flat plot in a newly developed residential area. In the structure is consists one underground and two above-ground floors. The family house is founded on strip foundations and a slab. The structural system is wall-based. The basement is made of reinforced concrete masonry, while the above-ground floors are constructed using a timber frame made of DEK wooden panels. Horizontal structures are reinforced concrete above the basement and wooden above the first and second floors. The roof consists of layers resting on these wooden structures. The roof assembly is flat with a final layer of shingles. The drawing section was processed using the Revit and AutoCAD software from AutoDesk.

The project documentation also includes a basic assessment of the building in terms of building physics.
Detached house under Holedna
Nemečková, Petra ; Dohnal, Jakub (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to design a detached passive house for family with 2 kids. It is located in Brno, Jundrov. The main entrance is situated to south-east. The building has flat extensive green roof, ventilated facade with wooden cladding and mineral insulation. It is based on plain concrete foundation strips. The vertical structures are masonry made of aerated concrete blocks. Horizontal load-bearing structures are constructed from prestressed concrete panels. The building has two storeys. On the first floor is situated social zone, where is living room connected to the kitchen and bathroom with WC and technical zone, where is utility room and storage. These two parts are slightly divided by hallway. On the second floor is private zone with bedrooms, master bedroom, study, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom, and WC. An external blinds are designed on the windows oriented to south-west and south-east to regulate daylight and reduce heat gains. Heating and cooling in the house are provided by an underfloor heating covering the thermal losses and gains of the building. Heat supply for water heating and underfloor heating is provided by a heat pump. Excess water from extensive green roof leads into the sewer system and a stormwater storage tank with a volume of 5m on the northwest edge of the plot. Afterwords, rainwater is discharged together with prefiltered sewage water into the combined sewer. Electricity is provided by a public network. Forced ventilation is provided by ventilation unit using flexible ducts installed in suspended ceiling. Ventilation is used only in living areas, bathrooms, and closet. The system has supply and exhaust ducts for air circulation connected to the distribution boxes and ended by vents with adjustable airflow . The ventilation unit with heat recovery and an air flow rate of 285 m/h is installed in utility room. Air exchange between the ventilation unit and exterior and ventilation unit and distribution boxes is provided by aerfoam ducts. Energy Performance Certificate is A – very efficient.
DUE Seifert's residence
Smolka, Ondřej ; Utíkalová, Ivana (referee) ; Dohnal, Jakub (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the project documentation for the construction of a residential building located in the city district of Brno - Lesná at the intersection of Nejedlého and Seifertova streets. It is a building for housing with one underground floor and eight above-ground floors with the last floor stepped to create a terrace. The basement is used as a collective garage including technical rooms primarily for the ventilation of the garage. On the first floor there are technical facilities and a second bulk garage. In the remaining seven floors there are residential units of sizes 1 bedroom and 3 bedroom. The building has two reinforced concrete monolithic cores, where each of them has a staircase and two lifts. The structural system of the building is designed as a reinforced concrete monolithic skeleton with load-bearing columns and ceiling slabs without penetrations. The building is based on 900 mm diameter piles, a watertight reinforced concrete white bath and a foundation slab. Primarily acoustic brick blocks are used for the infill non-loadbearing masonry perimeter and interior walls. The roofs of the building are designed to be flat, the main roof over the top floor is with a PVC sheeting and the roof over the first floor of the stepped storey is with a ductile sheeting. The content and design of the proposed work also provides for a planned dilated adjacent residential building that shares a basement with the main building, has four floors above ground and is situated perpendicular to the residential building under consideration.
