Admission of parents with their ill child to hospital from nurse's point of view

The goal of bachelor's thesis is to present the problems of parents staying together with their ill child in hospital. It emphasizes on child's psychical needs influenced by illness, especially on need to have around a person he or she knows well to provide him or her the emotional support and comfort, especially when being taken away from his or her usual environment. A qvantitative research was carried out how nursing staff from paediatric wards of three Faculty Hospitals in Prague. The research vas focused on how nurses accept parents or adults accompanying a child, the most common problems, the staff knowledge of the therm family- centred care, cooperation with play therapists, volunteers or psychologist and also how the Chart of hospitalized children is respected.

The quality of life of patients with permanent tracheostomy

The bachelor thesis deals about the quality of life of patients with permanent tracheostomy. Its aim is to describe and analyze the quality of life of these patients from the perspective of themselves and their families. Into the research were included somatic aspects, assessed using the UW-QoL questionnaire, aspect of psychological, social, communication, rated by mentioning of individual cases and semi structured interviewed. Last but not least the aspects of values, which were determined using the method SEIQoL. My intention was a total view of quality of life specific patients with permanent tracheostomy. Research survey was realized at the ENT department of District Hospital in Jicin and it takes one month. The research included five patients, three men and two women. The size of this group was given by the availability of patients with this problem at a time in the workplace and their willingness to collaborate. Permanent tracheostomy is a significant intervention into the life of each patient. I wanted to show how big change it is in life of each of them. Personal development and life prospects of children with hearing disorders My bachelory work is divided in two parts - theoretical and empirical. In theoretical part basic definitions, types of hearing disorders and defects and diagnoses of children's hearing are described. In the next part, I inform about the compensatory aids for people with hearing disorders and ways of their comunication. I also write in my thesis about personalities of these people, care of them and thein integration into society. The empirical part presents results of research, which was carried out on the basis of interviews. It is focused on interests and hobbies of children with hearing probléme, their ability to communicate and possibilities for profession choice . The work also maps their free time.
