The process of providing support through a comprehensive rehabilitation system
ŠTURMOVÁ, Alena
The aim of the thesis was to analyse the current form, process, and available means of providing support within a comprehensive rehabilitation system and its coordination with the broader ARPIDA centre, from the perspective of clients' parents and with an emphasis on the application of case management. The centre emphasises the cooperation of the cross-functional team, with parents perceived as partners and an organic part of the team of specialists. The thesis can thus serve as a basis for the development and improvement of existing services and their coordination in the ARPIDA centre. The qualitative research strategy, interviewing research method and semi-structured interview data collection technique were determined to be the most suitable for this particular thesis. The sample group consisted of clients' parents at different life stages who use services at the ARPIDA centre. The informants were selected based on the staff's recommendation and to form a representative group of all types of services provided by ARPIDA. Eight interviews were conducted and the selection was concluded on the bases of data saturation, where there was repetition of themes, opinions and the interviews did not bring new information. The data was processed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), which explores the subjective experiences of informants in detail, resulting in 13 main themes that underpin the research questions and the aim of the thesis: Perceptions of the holistic rehabilitation system, the interconnectedness of services, which services are missing from the centre's offerings, first contact with the centre, perceptions of communication with staff, whom parents can contact, collaboration with key workers, support from staff and their collaboration, how parents perceive their role in the cross-functional team, interprofessional meetings with staff, case manager involvement, and what are the weaknesses and strengths of the holistic rehabilitation process. Answers to all of these themes can help the ARPIDA centre to better understand how clients' parents perceive comprehensive coordinated care in the spirit of a holistic system of rehabilitation.
Entrace knowledge and ideas about the regions and regional cities of the Czechia among pupils in the 6th and 7th grades of primary schools.
OLIVA, Petr
This thesis deals with the entrance knowledge and ideas of 6th and 7th grade elementary school students about regions and regional cities of the Czechia. The main aim of the thesis is to map and reveal the real level of knowledge and ideas of pupils with the help of a research questionnaire, which was mainly focused on the orientation of pupils in the blind map, knowledge test and self-assesssment of pupils based on personal likes or dislikes for individual regions and regional cities of the Czechia. A total of 356 pupils participated in the research. All the resulting data obtained from the questionnaires were further evaluated and discussed in the analytical part of the thesis. Furthermore, the differences in the results based on the observed parameters of this thesis were investigated. These represented knowledge differences between classes, gender and type of schools, according to their location. The analytical part then leads to the practical part, which brings concrete suggestions and topics through the created teaching materials that can be used in practice during geography lessons. The education materials, which contain the practical part of the work, are created on the basis of research results and are aimed at anchoring and developing pupils knowledge and awareness of the individual regions and regional cities of the Czechia.
Možnosti léčby smíšených infekcí ryb
KOCOUR, Jakub
Fish diseases can be one of the factors slowing down the current development of aquaculture. Frequent causes of these diseases are pathogenic bacteria and parasites. The aim of this study was to test the effects of peracetic acid (PAA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) on haematological and biochemical indicators as well as on the bacterial and parasitic load in fish. Common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) were exposed to PAA (1.5 mg?l-1 ) and H2O2 (5 mg?l-1 ) for a period of 4 days. After the test ended, blood was collected from the fish to determine haematological and biochemical indicators, and swabs from gills and skin were taken for bacterial and parasitological examination. Haematologically, the following were determined: haematocrit (PCV), haemoglobin content (Hb), mean erythrocyte count (RBC), mean erythrocyte volume (MCV), erythrocyte haemoglobin (MCH), and mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC). From the blood plasma, the following biochemical indicators were assessed: glucose (GLU), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), inorganic phosphate (PHOS), calcium (Ca), triglycerides (TRIG), and globulins (GLOB). The haematological examination showed a statistically significant difference only in the mean erythrocyte volume (P<0.05), with an increase in MCV for the tested substances. Biochemical examination revealed statistically significant (P<0.01) increases in GLU, ALT, ALP, and PHOS levels. In TRIG, a statistically significant increase (P<0.05) occurred only in the group of fish exposed to H2O2. The last statistically significant (P<0.05) difference was observed in GLOB, with a decrease in the group of fish exposed to PAA and an increase in those exposed to H2O2. Bacteriological examination showed a statistically significant (P<0.05) difference in the reduction of bacterial counts on the skin of the fish for both tested substances. Parasitological examination revealed a statistically significant (P<0.05) effect of PAA on the occurrence of Trichodina sp., leading to the complete elimination of these parasites on both the skin and gills. The results showed that the haematological and biochemical indicators were only slightly altered compared to the control. It can be inferred that the application of PAA and H2O2 at the tested concentrations does not significantly stress the fish organism. It was also confirmed that PAA has antibacterial and antiparasitic effects, while H2O2 has only antibacterial effects.
The Situation of Literature Teaching in English Language Classes in Czech Secondary Schools
MRÁZOVÁ, Anna
Although literature can be seen as a means of improving students' English proficiency, its role in secondary education in the Czech Republic is often insignificant. Literature should be an important and integral part of the comprehensive development of English as a second language for students. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to investigate the role of literature in secondary teaching of English as a second language in the Czech Republic. This thesis includes a theoretical introduction to the topic of the importance of literature in language teaching and learning and research based on questionnaires completed by both secondary school English language teachers and students, which provides an insight into the perspectives of participants from both sides of the educational process on the examined topic.
Návrh autonomní robotické kolové platformy
LARVA, Jaroslav
The diploma thesis represents the project of design and implementation of an autonomous robotic platform, which is built on the basis of a modified children's buggy, enabling its remote control. The entire project is systematically divided into two basic parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the components and software tools used during the project are analyzed in detail. This section provides an overview of current trends in robotics and autonomous systems and highlights the importance of each selected element to the success of the overall design. In the practical part, the work focuses on the development process itself. From the first steps in construction, through the programming of the purchased platform, to a detailed description of the connection and integration of electronic components. Specific attention is paid to technical solutions that overcome the challenges associated with adapting a children's buggy to an autonomous robotic platform. In the final part, the project is evaluated as a whole. It includes an analysis of the achieved results, reflection on possible areas of improvement and discussion of future directions of development.

Vajter, Jaromír ; Durila, Miroslav (advisor) ; Burša, Filip (referee) ; Szárszoi, Ondrej (referee)
Effect of Point-of-Care Management of Coagulopathy on Blood Clot Strength and Primary Graft Dysfunction in Lung Transplant Recipients Abstract in English: Introduction: The key factors negatively affecting the function of the graft during lung transplantation are bleeding, administration of transfusion products, and ischemic/reperfusion injury. Given that all these attributes represent a significant risk for the primary graft dysfunction development. It is desirable to have a sophisticated anesthesiological approach available that will reduce blood loss and consumption of transfusion products, thereby reducing the incidence of primary graft dysfunction (PGD). Methodology: This prospective, randomized study evaluated 67 patients from January 2018 to June 2020. We compared the outcomes of patients undergoing lung transplantation who were treated using a point-of-care (POC) approach aimed at targeted diagnosis and treatment of coagulopathy, combined with volumotherapy using 5% albumin, against traditional management based on clinical experience in the non-POC group. Results: In the POC group, there was a significant reduction in perioperative blood loss and the need for blood derivatives. Concurrently, we noted an improvement in lung graft function, reflected by higher Horowitz Index values. There was also an...
Analysis of experimental activities in chemistry textbooks for primary schools
Špísová, Klára
The aim of the thesis is to analyze experimental activities in chemistry textbooks for primary schools in the Czech Republic. The types of activities and their placement in the phases of teaching, cognitive demand are examined. The analysis includes the most used textbooks of chemistry - textbooks by Fortuna: Základy chemie 1, 2 and Základy praktické chemie 1, 2. Textbooks by Nová škola, Fraus and Taktik for 8th and 9th grade. All textbooks contain suggestions for practical activities, most of them are in the ZCH, FR and NŠ textbooks. Different types of activities are identified in the chemistry textbooks, such as independent student activity, observation of teacher demonstration, laboratory work, watching videos, pictures and solving problems. Independent student activity and observation of teacher demonstration are the most common. FR and T textbooks also offer interactivity through videos. Practical topics focus mainly on the exposure phase of the lesson. In terms of the development of cognitive operations, the tasks in the chemistry textbooks focus on lower-level operations such as memorization, comprehension, and application. Higher operations, especially the development of making, was mainly in the textbooks for grade 8. The textbooks published by NŠ had a balanced representation for both grades.
Between Heaven and Earth
Nečesal, Marek ; Ryška, Zbyněk (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the concept of reusing empty rectories. Besides proposing revitalization plans for three buildings, the analytical part also examines the development of parish typology, exploring the influences and historical events that led to their current state. It analyzes over 60 buildings to investigate current reuse practices and uses statistical indicators to forecast the development of this typology. The analysis concludes with establishing basic principles for sustainable reuse of empty rectories. These principles are then applied in the design section to three different buildings in the Žďár Deanery, selected to match the varying character of the surrounding urbanism. The first rectory is located in Horní Bobrová in the middle of the square, the second building is in Štěpánov nad Svratkou within street development, and the last object stands on the edge of the village of Strážek. The search for a new possible concept for each building was based not only on site analyses but also on firsthand surveys of all buildings including adjacent agricultural structures, analysis of the local parish, and interviews with parishioners. Ultimately, a unique solution enabling sustainable operation was chosen for each site, some of which have been empty for more than two decades.
The Ideal City Brno: The New Stará Osada
Hladíková, Tereza ; Skála, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
My master thesis deals with the urban locality Stará Osada, which is an artery of the urban district of Brno- Židenice. It is a social and transport hub for the Brno - Židenice district. Stará Osada is part of the wider city centre. This traffic junction is defined by a development of prefabricated houses, where the dominant feature of the environment is a thirteen-storey building. Stará Osada could be defined similarly to Mendel Square in Brno. Compared to Mendel Square, the space of Stará Osada is very fragmented, disorganised and people only use it as a transfer point for public transport. In connection with the construction of the New Armoury and the traffic tunnel, traffic calming on Gajdošova- Svatoplukova Streets, which currently form the city ring road, will be addressed in the future. Stará Osada has the potential to be a full-fledged centre of Židenice, which supports the development of the urban district, which the district strives for. The aim of the thesis is to design a public space in the form of a square with new buildings, supporting the development that is lacking in the urban district. The buildings, by their mass, will enclose and integrate the space of Stará Osada and will be a manifesto of a possible architectural and urbanistic solution for Stará Osada. The square and the adjacent buildings will provide the opportunity for increased social events and new housing.
