Influence of tick saliva on cytokine IL-17 production by murine splenocytes.

Aim of this study was to quantify production of IL-17 cytokine. IL-17 was induced in murine spleen cells after stimulation of the T cell receptor through CD3 crosslinking. Futher, the effect of salivary gland extract (SGE) and tick saliva on production of IL-17 was investigated. The mechanism of the interaction was also studied.
