Teaching Media Education for Students with Special Educational Needs in Primary School

The rigorosum thesis deals with the teaching of media education at the first stage of primary schools with a focus on children with special educational needs. It is based on the study of professional literature, current school legislation and the practice of the author - a teacher at the first stage of primary school. The thesis consists of three parts. The first, theoretical part defines the basic concepts, teaching media education, its inclusion in the RVP ZV. It also provides a brief overview of teaching media education abroad (France, the United Kingdom and Germany). The second part of the rigorous thesis contains the results of a research survey, a questionnaire survey focused primarily on teaching, aids in media education, subjects in which media education is included and the problems that most often occur in teaching media education according to teachers. Furthermore, the work contains an analysis of lessons in which media education is included as a cross-sectional topic. Rigorous work contains interviews with teachers, which are then analyzed using open and axial coding. Rigorosum thesis provides a view of teachers on the teaching of media education.
