The Specifics of Children Interrogation Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the interrogation of children in criminal proceedings, with a focus on the specifics that are characteristic of it. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of this issue at all levels - legal, psychological, as well as criminal, and to allow better understanding of its whole essence. In this introduction, the thesis focuses on the legal standpoint, in which it introduces the basic terms and outlines the current state of legislation in the Czech Republic. Then, it moves continuously to the psychological-criminal standpoint, where it reaches the point of its content - the specifics that may arise in connection with the interrogation of children. The thesis views these specifics from two different angles. From a psychological point of view, it enables to understand the complexity of a child's personality, which must always be taken into account during the interrogation. It also points out any risks that may arise in communicating with the child and which should be avoided. From the criminal point of view, it focuses directly on the course of interrogation itself.
