Analysis of Drug Experiences of Upper Primary School Students from Selected Schools

THE ANALYSIS OF DRUG EXPERIENCE OF SECOND GRADE PUPILS FROM THE SELECTED ELEMETARY SCHOOLS Kováříková Monika Abstract This thesis is specifically concerned with pupils' drug use experiences, namely with alcohol, nicotine and illegal addictive substances. The theoretical and practical part focuses on older pupils (from 11 to 15 years of age) attending primary schools. The aim here is to investigate drug addiction among pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school and its prevention. The research analyses the pupils more closely on particular cases at Vodičkova Elementary School and at the Primary School of Vítězslav Hálek Odolena Voda. The theoretical part looks into drug prevention efforts in general in the family, at school and in the city. Further, it characterises the age of adolescence and presents selected studies focused on the drug problems of adolescents. The empirical part consists of a qualitative research survey conducted as a multi-case study and supplemented by a quantitative probe. The methodology consists of interviews with the pupils, interview with the preventers, analysis of school documents and questionnaire survey.
