Civic Engagement of Female Dissident

The theme of this diploma thesis is the civic engagement of women in dissent world from 70's to 90's of the 20th century. I am focusing on women who were engaged in movement of Charta 77. The goal of this work is to show how the female dissidents engaged, how the fact that they are women influented their engagement. I am also analyzing reasons which led women around Charta 77 to civic engagement. In the theoretical part of diploma thesis are presented different perspectives on civic engagement and the world of dissent is more described. The empirical part presents the conclusions and findings that were obtained from qualitative research method specifically through interviews with selected dissidents.
