VARIABILITY OF THE TECHNIQUE IN DECATHLON Objective of the thesis The main aim of the thesis is to find technical deficiencies in particular disciplines during training phases and afterwards to find changes that occur in the technique during competition. The other aim was to compare quality of own technique and the model technique. Methodology In the thesis I used a method of surveillance and analysis of image sequences; a method of self-reflection was used in description of the competition technique. To assess the variability of technique a method of comparison was used. Results There were quite a number of technical deficiencies that occur during trainings. However during competitions these deficiencies partly disappear. Key words: track and field, decathlon, technique, assessment
