PaedDr. Jiřina Klenková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The aim of my work is to show the importance of speech therapy in preschool children. In the theoretical part, which has three parts, I discuss generally about communication and communication disorders, about the development of preschool children, the development of speech and preschool education and also name the most common communication disorders in preschoolchildren. The practical part of the case studies to show the possibility and importance of speech therapy in preschool and possible difficulties associated with communication disorders after taking the first class. The investigation I watched speech intervention for children with communication disorders, their progress and achievements or failures in the period.
