In this dissertation, entitled "Function of the Pronouns in Poetic Text (V. V. Mayakovsky)", the linguistic analysis of the poetry of the abovementioned author is undertaken with respect to the function of pronouns as a full sense word class which was deliberately used by Mayakovsky when composing his poems. The material of the analysis consists of eighteen poems by Mayakovsky written during different periods of his literary activity. The analyzed poems are as follows: , , , , , III , , !, - , - (), II, , , , , !, I, - , , , . The starting point of our work is the thesis that a literary work of art can be analyzed, decoded and evaluated from the linguistic point of view, and by means of lingustic tools. The pronouns (especially personal and possesive pronouns; for the purpose of our analysis the function of possesive pronouns was considered to be identical with the function of personal pronouns) were chosen as a pillar category mainly because we consider pronouns to be a - though somewhat restricted - fundamental class of words which can represent a rather different semantic level of the text if compared with substantives.
