Use of physiotherapy for vertebrogenic difficulties associated with scuba diving
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kamila
This work is about using physiotherapy methods in patients with vertebrogenic difficulties associated with scuba diving. The first goal is to suggest therapy for concrete patients with vertebrogenic difficulties and the second goal is to chart the effects of the therapy performed in concrete patients with vertebrogenic difficulties. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the issue of vertebrogenic difficulties, describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the spine, presents scuba diving and presents the possibilities of using physiotherapy. The practical part consists of four case reports and a description of the proposed therapy. The work is processed in the form of qualitative research. Data collection was performed by the entry and exit examination. The results were based on qualitative analysis of these data. The research group consisted of four probands who spent their free time on scuba diving while suffering from occasional vertebrogenic difficulties. The research took the form of regular meetings, usually held once a week for two months. Therapy results are ambiguous. There were both objective and subjective improvements in two probands. One of the probands did not match the subjective impression with objective results and one of the probands has worsened. Many factors could have affected the results. For example, by an individual approach to therapy, by other sporting activities performed in addition to exercise, or by injuries made during therapy. The theoretical part can be used as a source of information for divers as it highlights the risks of developing vertebrogenic difficulties. The practical part can be beneficial in physiotherapy practice as an exercise unit not only for divers.
Back pain of working people
ZELENKOVÁ, Benedikta
This bachelor thesis deals with low-back pain in patients who are mostly sitting at work. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the function, anatomy and kinesiology of the spine are first described. It also explains the deep stabilization system, its importance and its examinations. Further, most common causes of vertebrogenic problems are described and the word pain itself together with is explained. In this part, pain is divided into several categories. In conclusion, individual examinations and possibilities of therapy in back pain are described. Individual examinations are also included in kinesiological analyzes of all patients. The practical part of the thesis was done in a form of qualitative research. The examined group consists of three respondents men in between 45 and 55 years who were suitable figures for this work. Two patients were patients from rehabilitation center in Borovany where I had the opportunity to work with them and the third patient is a member of my family and I worked with him at home. This part consists of elaborated case studies of individual patients, proposed therapies and their description and physiotherapeutic examinations after all therapies. The main aim of this work was to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy treatment in people with sedentary job suffering from back pain. The second objective was to map the problem, propose suitable therapy, and then evaluate its effect. I met with patients six times in six weeks. I stressed the importance of proper posture while sitting, standing and lifting heavy loads. All patients were well educated on this issue. Crucial is also regularity of the proposed exercises, which all can be done at home. The success of the therapy was evaluated by subjective patient's assessment and by comparison of kinesiology carried out before the start and after the end of the whole therapy. This allows me to state that both objectives of the work have been met.
Clinical importance of pelvic floor problems in patology of motoric system and its therapy
KRÁSENSKÁ, Radmila
Pelvic floor fulfils the postural function and influences the erect carriage of body significantly. The pelvic floor muscles support the body and the pelvic together with other components of the deep stabilization system (Skalka, 2002). The Thesis is aimed at collection of basic information on the above mentioned problems and at application of such information in the practice as part of diagnostics and therapy of patients with vertebrogenous difficulties. The theoretical part deals with pelvic area anatomy and kinesiology, deep stabilization system, pelvic floor and vertebrogenous disorders and their causes and symptoms. A list of possibilities of physiotherapeutic treatment includes basic practices used in the therapy of the pelvic floor and the whole deep stabilization system. The actual proposal for the therapy includes soft tissue mobilization techniques, postisometric relaxation, facilitation techniques, deep breathing and exercises for pelvic floor and the deep stabilization system. The therapy led particularly to reduction of tonus of hypertonic muscles, relieving of overstrained ligament, optimization of breathing stereotype and involvement of the deep stabilization system. The clients mentioned subjectively relief of back pain. The discussion and the summary intend to be a complex review. With respect to the achieved results, I think that the therapy was the right choice. However, the therapy must be continued in order to remedy the disorders completely.
