Signs for the Prague metro stations: formal and semantic motivations

(in English): The bachelor thesis 'Signs for the metro stations: formal and sematic motivations' focuses on signs for the underground stations in the czech sign language especially from creating these signs point of view. The theoretical section is about explanation of needed terms for understanding the meaning (iconicity, composition, inicialization, loan translation etc.), the practical section finds out the form of signs of all metro stations with the help of the intended interviewing deaf community. Each sign is examined by motivational aspect and formal formation. If there is a presence of multiple names for one station, the names are compared. The objective of the thesis is making the partial analysis of the sign-forming system for this defined proprietary-names section. Aquired visual material is part of the thesis as well.
